Unfortunately Sam had little impact in attack in 2016, besides that he is far better off taking the big $ and 2 years in a game that is far easier than NRL to finish his career. Glad he played at Easts was great for us.

Thanks Sam for being a great Rooster.
I will never forget him smashing G Stewart in the opening minutes of the 2013 GF. I'm also glad he's not joining another NRL club as I don't want to see him in another NRL club's jumper.

I remember thinking in 2012 off season who this guy was signed on a 3 year base deal but didnt he have wonderful impact in our Premiership in 2013. The last few years, he seemed like he was busted and just didn't have the same punch as 2013-14 but he was a big reason for our success over that 3 year run.

I hope he has cashed out at Catalan and they're given him decent coin, its a short career get as much money as you can Lawn Moa.

I would definitely love to see him back at the club in some capacity because he is a great role model, professional and a great example of hard work to reach the top.

          WIsh him all the best.

            Good luck Sammy.

Top player and a great bloke.

His short pass at the line to SBW in the 2013 GF is what stands out to be the most; alongside squashing Glenda Stewart.

And also a try at Suncorp in 2014 where he bulldozed about 4 Broncos players.

What a beast in his prime.

That cowboys gane in '14? When he dislocated his kneecap. Her went off and we were getting bashed but he came back on and bashed them back. Will miss the Moa constrictor. Cheers mate.

Bye Lawn. I hold you in the highest regard whether as a player who gave his all for the club or an articulate gentleman off the field. You will be missed heaps by my friends and I who call out "lawn" every time you touch th ball

Class act on and off the field. Hope he enjoys his time in France. Thanks for the memories Sam.

I will always remember his effort with JWH out in the semi against Manly when he came back on after dislocating his knee and then the monster grand final performance. Always went at 110% just father time crept up on him in 2016. Will be a handful in the ESL for another couple of years. Good luck big fella.

I'm sad to see Sam leave the Roosters and I wish him the very best in the future. He was a great Rooster and I'll remember him fondly.

Thank you Sam for all that you gave to the club on and off the field.

Will always have great memories of Sam's time at the club - great to see him finish in France - hate seeing players like him playing against us at the end of their careers

So glad that he didn't get to put on that filthy vermin scum jersey of Souffs! ...good luck Sam ...also ironic that Sam is turning up as Glen Stewart leaves

Sam was great for our club and I concur with all the relief about not having to see him wearing the minty wrapper.
A big thanks to Sam for all his efforts and special thanks to the Gibbon for bringing him here.
