  • ROOSTERS FLYER SIGNS ON

Roosters NYC grand final hero Johnny Tuivasa-Sheck has re-signed for another year.
The younger brother of Kiwi international Roger, Johnny had a breakout year in the 20s competition which finished with him scoring the winning try in the grand final just a few weeks ago.
The 20-year-old will joins first grade squad after graduating from the Holden Cup.
A winger with size, Tuivasa-Sheck comes off contract at the end of 2017.

I was impressed with JTS this season. He doesn't have the freak card like his brother but he has great power and good speed. With a little more polish, he could be better than Sam Perret in his prime.

Hard working good trainer, has desire to succeed so could turn out to be a diamond in the rough.

Big call. People forget how good Sam was for us. Can't see JTS getting a run behind the 5-6 wingers we already have. Maybe manu will be going to centre sooner rather than later.

IMO is a player of very limited ability. For most of the GF he ran with the hand brake on. Hope he proves me wrong but can't see him playing FG ever

I think he can play FG. I just doubt it will be with us. Maybe he'll go to NZ. Or maybe we hold him and try to pry roger back next yr.

We are looking for an outside back now that Val Holmes will be fullback. I have a high opinion of Joseph Manu.

JTS is a similar style and stature to Feki so he would be a handy pickup if he cant crack firsts with Easts.

I agree, he will make it in NRL at several of thr clubs if he left. You have a lot of depth in the outside backs but plenty of errors in them.
