I don't understand the "sentiment" sorry.
Why should we learn from what Roger did?
Even if we jumped in and signed rts early , there wasn't no guarantee he'd accept , or wouldn't of tried to worm his way back home any case.

We shouldn't even compare any situation involving a fantastic club man , and great player like JWH.............................to the traitor.

      Just my opinion, of course.

Never worried that Jarrod would bugger off.
Canberra offered him a motza a couple of years back.

Congratulations to JWH and the Roosters, now I hope he stays injury free and does not get hammered by the MRC for being too aggressive, as he is a real "hard man" and we all know officialdom doesn't like that.

And they would have been - by his manager, who is paid his percentage to do the wheeling and dealing and get the contract that JWH wants. JWH would simply sign on the dotted line once the hard work was done. Quite easily done from the UK - espec with today's technology.

Very few players would be hands on in the contract negotiating process, unless they manage themselves.

Great that JWH has committed long term. He is one bloke who gets what the what the emblem and colours represent and the history behind it. Wears his heart on his sleeve and there's no doubt of his love for the Chooks.

Cameron Smith was hands on during the Storms cheating years. Pretty sure he was self managed ??

Fantastic news. Jared is a true clubman who is passionate about the Roosters. He is also the team's spiritual leader and our enforcer. He is extremely important to our team and gives all the other players great confidence. He and Cords are absolutely vital members of the team and the fact neither was around for the first two months this season shows how much we missed them.

Sounds almost exactly like Fitzy's description of Moz, and that can't be a bad thing.
