  • Daniel Vidot

Apparently Daniel Vidot has been told he can look for another club from next season onwards. I think he would be an ideal signing for us. If there is any truth in the Anasta to Penrith rumour, that would free up the money for him.

I like Vidot. I think he would be a great signing. He is young and has plenty of talent, but hasn't displayed his potential yet (like Hoppa and Dugan), so we shouldn't need to pay overs.

I never thought Canberra would let Vidot go. Extremely talented youngster. Would be an excellent signing for any club in need of a quality winger

heres our answer to our left edge problems. fantastic player very athletic, fast, good in the air and plenty of pace. it will be like having SKD on both sides of the field

              Another +1 for Daniel Vidot.

Cheaper than Dugan, less ego problems.

              8 February 1990 (age 21)
              Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
              Height 193 cm (6 ft 4 in)
              Weight 103 kg (16 st 3 lb)

              Big, young, and very fast.

Furner needed a scapegoat, Vidot had one sloppy game earlier in the season and was dropped immediately, Orford had 4 in a row and Furner made excuses for him every time and kept selecting him.

I'd be trying to pick up Vidot before June 30, if the Dragons can get Gas for half a season at 50k surely we can get Vidot for the same.

Bring him here and be patient with him. Hopefully he doesn't have any attitudinal issues that will stink up the joint further.

I would prefer to know why they let him go.

He seems to be exclusively a right side player. You would have thought he would have been given a chance on the left this year with Ferguson killing it on the right. Shown to be a great finisher and a very strong runner with a big leap in him. Yet I seem to remember him having massive deficiencies when it came to actually catching high balls. One game in particular against the broncos (?) I remember he and the fullback at the time were so unsure in defence under the high ball they were just letting it bounce every time no matter how much pressure was on them. He'd wanna work on that before we throw him on the wing.

He doesn't look anything like 6'4"

We are talking about professional footballers. That is a very narrow selection criteria!

Like my friend David, who hates League, says "If they were intelligent, they wouldn't be out getting smashed every weekend."

I'm not sure if he means that in the football sense or the alcohol consumption sense.
