player tackled him from behind landed on his ankle. The commentators kept going on about it was his knee and ankle. But to me just looked like ligament damage in the ankle!

You could see how shattered Pearce was when he went down, couldn't happen to a more unlucky bloke. Well maybe Cherrington.

I feel so sorry for Boyd and hope his injury is not serious. He was one of few giving a damn.

He certainly hasn't had a good run with injury melon but I'm not prepared to write the young man off just yet.

                    Boyd is the "white Cherro"

                    both are injury-prone
                    both have massive potential
                    both are back-rowers
both have played similar amounts of firstgrade games
both have looked good when they have played in an easts jumper
both could be anything with the right coaching
both have more doctor visits than training with the team
both must have run over a black cat

one day, they might actually be in the same easts run-on side!
