  • Andrew Walker !!

Playing in the Rugby 10's in Brisbane. Will definitely tune in to see one of my old favourites run around again, had all the skills plus some

Yeah he was an excitement machine. Andrew is a Bomaderry boy. I went to school with his older brother Alfie who was a pretty good footballer as well.

He was a freakishly gifted brilliant off the cuff player. Gould said he could do anything on a football field except play to a structure. Some of his kamikaze hits in defence were pretty memorable as well. Good to hear he's still athletic enough to run around, thought he might have been up for a liver transplant by now!

Good bloke too. His daughter goes to my kids school. IMO the most gifted and naturally talented footballer we've had...

He was my favourite player at the Chooks playing 5/8 in 1995. The following year the Chooks bought Freddy & after that I never really thought he got the recognition he deserved. I know Freddy was a champion but I just thought Walker was a brilliant off the cuff excitement machine at 5/8.

The Jimi Hendrix of rugby league, rugby union and touch football. He was and still is a freak!

              He was incredible at fullback.

I would say the first ball-playing fullback.

He was my favourite player by miles.

Does he still run that lawn mowing company? The guy's gotta be approaching mid-40's and he can still play footy - crazy!!! He's not a big guy either.

Saw Andrew a couple of years ago at the All Stars game at Lang Park, he was getting his photo taken with the Artie statue ... quite a rooster moment right there ... for memory he was still playing league in a Ipswich divisional comp. That fella could do anything on a football field!

Only behind Brandy imo as the most naturally gifted footballer I have seen play, Freddy comes in at third.
