Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the epic bender crews mascot trying to play for Toulon until his 12 match ban is up.

Mr Greenturd has come out today and said that the ban won't start until barba has finished all and any overseas contracts.

Well played imo for once NRL, what do you guys think? (if you care lol)

He's not doing a great job of convincing the NRL that he's fit to return...

Remember this guy has had serious issues over the past few years. To then be done with cocaine in his system, and show complete contempt towards the ban is a farce IMO.

Maybe his family needs the money, but he shoulda thought about that before doing sniffy sniffy. Maybe a bad comparison but at least when Pearce got his suspension last year he took responsibility and promised to change.

Barba? I'd say has been in more trouble than Pearce. I mean Pearce can be a drunken idiot, but the Doggies and Brisbane got sick of Barba's behaviour to the point where they had to release him (even after a Dally M). A positive drug test trumps any of Pearce's drunken antics.

I would imagine that if the NRL have any integrity, they'd be monitoring this very closely. The ban's in place for him to say sorry, publicly state that his behaviour was totally inappropriate and to grovel back to the NRL, begging them to register what would have to be a last chance contract on a VERY tight teather.

To laugh at their ban, threaten to leave the comp if they don't fast track his registration and then to say 'oh sod it I'm just gonna go over to France and play while you guys do the paperwork' is disrespectful towards the game of footy and to the NRL administration. Pull your head in cuz!!! You'll be lucky if they allow your contract to be registered after this kerfuffle!!!

Sad because he's a talented player and I always wanna see indigenous people do well in our community no matter what they pursure (call it white guilt or whatever but a long-term ex during my younger years is now a relatively high profile indigenous public figure... her family's quite wealthy but I like to think I have some understanding of what it's like for some of these indigenous players, having seen what she went through despite people seeing her as 'advantaged'). But maaaaaate... is this guy serious?
