Saw the below in an article in the courier mail / telegraph talking about our jersey value since Magic Glass has come on board, but the below was included in an article about Jason Taylor,
We can tell you JT copped a stray elbow while playing touch football earlier this week, while Teddy was simply crossing the ditch to continue working with the club’s strength and conditioning coach, Marcus Kain.
Meanwhile, centre Tim Simona could be part of a swap deal with the Sydney Roosters who are looking to off-load Dale Copley.

I know a few on here like him but I don't think we need him. Looks like Mitchell and Fergo for centre , then I'd rather Manu be given next crack. Would be a depth signing at best in my opinion.

crapleys only weakness is his defensive reads. if he gets that part of his game in order he will be a good back up.

I read the other day that Copley is on 400k this yeah which I simply refuse to believe to be true.

It does seem like desperation JAF, or certainly that's how it appears as an outsider. The reasoning for this you'd have to think is cap related above any other explanation.

Or is it that they realised they can't hold him just for the games against the boncos.

As for Simona, I like him, but isn't he injury prone? Also, is he required and whose spot would he take in the FG team?

Simona is a good talent but to me he'd just be a road block in the way of Manu's path.

The way I see it we're heading into the season with Skd Toops Mitchell and Fergo in the 3/4s. And Manu is next man up if Copley goes.

I think it's more that he's on decent money and is now surplus, so the club doesnt want to be paying that decent money for him when it could be used elsewhere.

sure all clubs need players but i find it tiresome the depth player talk/ approach when we have inexperienced backs and some so called experienced specialist ones who play out of position. i would rather see the club sign a player with form, experience and above all a specialist in a position rather than another depth player to cover inexperienced ones or under performing so called specialists who play out of position
