  • Is it any wonder why we have such a farked attitude this season!

Here we have this shit from our coach.

    http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/spo...-1226083083555

ROOSTERS coach Brian Smith has urged Mitchell Pearce and Anthony Minichiello to put their state before their struggling club until next Wednesday night's State of Origin decider.

And this shit from our captain:

    http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/l...626-1glex.html

''It's probably the first time this year I could say I was a bit disappointed in our performance,'' Anasta said.

''I don't think we played like a team that was do-or-die, must win, and that was disappointing. All year we've really put in 100 per cent, but if we couldn't come out on top it wasn't through lack of effort.

''I just think today we probably let ourselves down, no doubt about that. First time I've been disappointed in the boys, and myself as well.''

Unfarkingbelievable! And we're actually paying these pricks for this attitude. There is something truly rotten at the heart of this club, or what's left of it.

    Chook.

I don't see what's wrong with it. They aren't playing for their club this weekend anyway.

I wouldn't want to think too much about standing under the goal posts either.

i don't have a problem with what smith said, pearce and mini are obliged to put their state before their club for the next week or so...so is every other origin player lol, and besides our season is over now so it's not like it makes a difference...rebuilding must start now!! First point of action BRAITH "i think i'm tiger woods" ANASTA needs to go!!!!

I have no issue with what Smith said and I think I can understand what Anasta was saying, but he expressed himself poorly. I think what he was trying to say was that he felt this was the first time this year he thought players hadn't put in. In most of our losses we have been competitive and we have defended well. The game against Nth Qld was an example of this. We played terrible and our completion rate was abysmal but the goal line defence was exceptional and showed that despite our inadequacies the players were putting in an effort. On Sunday, he couldn't say that. There was too many players (himself probably included) who didn't put the effort in to deserve a win.

Do I agree with him? Probably not. We've had players all year who look like they don't care about the result (Carney, FPN are two prime examples) and Sunday was no exception.

Agree with Headless Chook. I have no problems with what Smith said and it does show that at least Mini and Pearce are concerned about how crap the team is going for it to be playing on their minds. He wouldn't need to even have that conversation if they didn't care. Just wish all the players in the team had the same attitude! As for Braith, I have no idea what's going on with him and where his head's at. Penrith maybe??? Or just sulking coz he's not in his supposed Gus-deemed rightful position of 5/8??

And doesn't care one bit. He's not a captains bootlace.
