Great news, and can't wait to see the partnership he has formed with Keary in action.

Johnny would obviously be displeased by the news.

I cant wait to read someones post telling us all what he has signed for.
We can all speculate but unless you have seen the contract we will never know.
And I speculate that he would of signed on for $800k per season. I dont reckon he would be on the $1M per season.

            OFF CONTRACT

Paul Carter, Mitch Cornish, Kane Evans, Blake Ferguson, Michael Gordon, Aidan Guerra, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Brenden Santi, Chris Smith, Zane Tetevano, Johnny Tuivasa-Sheck, Daniel Tupou
Looking at that list the club has done a really good job of retention so far. When I look at that list I'm happy for every one of them to be playing for their next contract. All the talent that needed to be locked up quickly already has been.

SKD maybe the only exception who deserves a deal but I know a lot will disagree with me on that.

Good news but why only 2 years?

We have indeed done well going into 2018 looking at that list.

The stars are aligning to expect a "best so far" year from Daniel Tupou.

Probably because they couldn't really offer him just 1. Wise contract length that works in favour of the club. Glad it's just 2 and not 4, who knows how chronic this hammy could be. It troubled him last year and having an issue now with it so who knows. If all goes well they can give him an extension down the track, he won't go anywhere so long as we want him.

I agree. Can always extend a shorter contract but to reduce a longer contract would cost a lot of money. Whilst I believe loyalty and values playing a role in the cogs that run the clubs, there is a time for business and sometimes it needs to be at the forefront.

I wouldn't care if none of them were kept there is nobody on that list that's a must sign good job to get the essentials tied down and the rest fighting for deals that's how Melbourne do it

That will be awesome to see souths suffer the embarrassment. I really hope Pearce and Keary can find that 'Pearce/Maloney' magic that took us to 3 straight minor prems and a title. Can't wait. Only one week to go till it all starts again. 😀

They will also be contenders for a top 4 spot.
If Farah & Cook stay fit they will be very competitive because they will be a lethal interchange.
