  • Pressure on the kicker

I know we all want Guerra gone, but he is the only one that puts genuine Pressure on the opposition kicker. Other players have put pressure on kickers, but nowhere the same as Guerra. I think Matterson needs to step up when he's on at lock.

Pretty much the only thing he does

Definitely not a Guerra fan, just a believer of credit where credit is due. Also, my point is that other players need to step up, Cleary Jr. Had so much time to put those floating bombs for Skiddsy's buttery arms

It's where he defends and it's his job. You don't want too many players putting pressure on the kicker, and then they throw it out the back.

The cynic in me wants to say if he didn't pressure the kicker, he'd need to race back and take a hit up. Fortunately I'm not a cynic so it doesn't need stating

I noticed this too , there was so much pressure on our kickers , and in some plays Pearce was hit before he could get the kick away.
Difference is , Cleary stood pretty deep and we didn't get out of marker like Penrith did.
I suspect the Ref turned a blind eye to Penrith standing square at marker ?

Considering Cleary's pinpoint spiral and floating bombs then Guerra didnt even do rhat role very well man.

Both times that happened it was a result of a poor pass from dummy half.

I think the Riff were offside all night and the officials let them get away with it. So the markers were probably not square either.
