This one also sticks strongly in the memory bank purely because of how much the refs were screwing us over;

Cooper Cronk was about 5 metres off side when Pearce put that kick in behind him to win the game, will never forget it as I was right in that corner and he had been standing off side all night.

Guerra also played well - did a lot of hard grunt work. But dropped the ball in a crucial situation. (As did JWH, Toops, and Latrell).
We can't win the comp without a dead-eye goal-kicker. Gordon is no longer such a kicker.
We can't win a comp if we can't overcome Ben Cummins' idiosyncratic interpretation of the ruck. (I laughed when Cherry-Evans had a personal audience with Cummins complaining about the lack of room given to his team by the Roosters.)
Granted he is playing better than the codswallop he has served since mid 2015.
But If you can say running 6 metres a hitup and running at the speed of a decaying antelope and being 3rd man in on almost half his tackles is playing well I simply don't agree.
His mistake rate is now down but failing to play the ball correctly when we were in a position to score a few minutes to go with the scores deadlocked is almost unforgivable.
To also be seen ready to party after being being quite culpable in our loss a few minutes later as reported in another thread if true is well a crime that should be punished by Robbo.Last edited by Snitzel_69; 04-01-2017, 11:42 AM.

It's not just this game either. Pearce goes to water every time the scores are level going into the final 10 mins. He's never created a clutch play to win a game, ever.
The closest he came was backing up wing on a runaway try against the panthers.... when he was 19

Sloppy attention to detail lost us the game with and without the ball - very hard game next and short turnaround v the Bronco's who will no doubt take us on in the forwards so we will have to be ready. Who comes in for Nappa -look like he will miss a month at least. Second halves are a worry too

Hey look who slotted a cool as you like field goal with scores level to win his side the game today.... it's that guy our genius leaders thought would be well over the hill by now.
It really is painful how incapable Pearce is at taking field goal shots. Only thing worse is trying to figure out why Robbo (and coaches past) keep electing him as the man to attempt them

He has kicked a few. I don't believe any ever when scores were level.
His field goals have generally been an "icing on the cake" type deal to put us up by 7, 13, 19 etc.
:edit: according to rugby league project he has kicked 3. His last being 6 years ago
