Clever quote, funny, but lets get real. The difference is SKD makes his mistakes trying to DO something, goes looking fo the ball, takes hit ups..... Mitchell is lazy and makes wrong decisions in attack and defence and then sulks. Huge difference.

Has been given the week off to work on things not only for football orientated reasons. Will be kept in house though so don't ask

Just one question. Have these issues been around all year or just around the time of the Manly game.

I can imagine what thoughts are running through Latrell's mind when SKD can keep his spot week after week..What a farce!

I don't even know what the issues are - or even if there actually are issues.

                    Well that's an issue.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Latrell is a young country kid trying to make his way in the big city, and there were always going to be ups and downs mentally, emotionally and physically. I reckon the club and Robbo are doing the right thing by him, even if he doesn't realise it himself at the moment.

To me Latrell has always looked like a kid who will struggle to adapt to the weekly grind of the NRL long term. He's one of those kids with plenty of natural talent, but needs to learn to appreciate the benefits of hard training and good diet etc. Nothing unusual, especially in young indigenous blokes - not being racist, just a realist.

Too many clubs (and their supporters) push their young blokes to the limit and place way too many expectations on them. Little wonder there is such a high attrition rate when it comes to the next 'big thing' - some have a moment or two in the sun and are then never heard of again, simply because they're not equipped to handle the pressure placed on them.

And Mitchell will be super pissed that he is not playing against the nights. He is quoted as saying he enjoys playing and beating the two clubs that didn't want him, dogs and nights. All this is a good thing for the young man. Talent is useless without desire. He will be back.

Everything you said is probably true. But at the end of the day this is professional sport. If you can't get your shit together mentally then someone else can have your spot. You can't earn 6-7 figures and sit out games because of your issues.

He will be back against the Goons on Anzac Day and kill it.

So you were on top of your life at the age of 19? Your comment would fit if we were talking about SDK or Ferguson, but we are talking about a teenager here.

Plenty of NRL players much older than Latrell have taken weeks off fully paid to deal with various issues. It's called player welfare and clubs tend to take it seriously these days.
