did he play for Wyong?? - need some real grunt in the pigs though which we sure lack - teams will come at us through the forwards for sure seeing how Manly and especially Brisbane dominated them- we were struggling to make 30 to 40 metres in our sets v Brisbane - Brisbane made yards at will all game as did Manly to a lessor extent

I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Smith given a go.

Also, i've heard that a couple of our backline are carrying injuries and may be rested.

I think BS. The club probably don't want to shame them by dropping them.

We're in no position to be resting players anyway. Either they aren't fit to play or they are and will play.

We've won 4, lost 2. Our backline (particularly the left edge) are still the envy of the comp thus far.

Latrell was 'hooked' because he 'needed a rest'. He wasn't playing badly though!!!! Why is it so inconceivable to some that Robbo mighta been telling the truth - 'he needed a rest'.

I mean what's better for the Broncos, beating us due to a Ben Hunt tackle at a key moment then losing because Hunt's out for 2+ months, or taking Hunt off the field, losing to us and then having Hunt on ice for a week?

IMO Latrell was quite literally 'given a rest' because he has ongoing knee issues and by the time he was rested (10 to go) the battle had already been convincingly won by Brisbane. This served a dual purpose because it meant Latrell could go straight to the recovery table (so he's right for Friday, where I expect him to play a key role in demolishing the Knights) and Matterson gained more experience (which he wants/needs right now - for many players, having 40 minutes on the field is almost as important as a win because they have their careers to build up).

Rothfield is adament that Mitchell will be "rested" this week.
Mind you, he had to admit that Robbo wouldn't talk to him. lol

Tell me more about how we're going to demolish next week's opposition. I just had de ja vu about the manly game.
