Another source? Call them for what they are? News websites. None of this, "I am hearing", "my sources are telling me" crap.

I will be forever grateful to Ivan Cleary if he takes the Flake and the Italian off our hands.

I'm sure it's a fair swap - Tedesco for Flake and the Italian

Crazy money for Reynolds whether it's 750k or 950k.

Player payments are way out of control!

You will need a rights deal of close to $3.5bn to justify a hack like Reynolds getting about $750k-950k a year.
RIghts deals usually goes for 4 years so $1bn (its a lot more than that probably about 1.8bn), $450m a year.
There are about 480 players assuming the 16 clubs have 30 man squads.
PLayers want around 26% of the pie I think
Assuming the Cap will be about $9.5m (atm the NRL are proposing $9m and the RLPA and clubs want $10m. Then divide $9.5m by 30 and you get about $350k a player. The average player will get about that, the better ones above and the lesser ones less than that down to a minimum of probably just above $100k (The current minimum wage is $100k).
When you consider the NRL will have to pay the clubs 130% of the Salary Cap (say about 12.75m) you will find that for each year the TV rights will have to be around 200m a year just to pay the clubs their grants even before you even factor in funding for the grassroots, admin and everything else.
Based on an average wage figure of $350k and the fact that Reynolds is a spine player so can command more I would think he is worth about $450-500K which is what the Dogs offered him.
