New coach gets old and the players stop responding and stop trying because they don't like the now old coach. New coach gets appointed, players respond and so on ...

Spot ON Melon, these players have acted like spoilt brats, especially the senior players who seem to be holding the club to ransom, we are all quick to blame the coach, myself included but for farl sake these players need to face the full brunt of criticism, they didnt get graded and put into 1st grade due to lack of skill, it is not the coachs fault they cannot catch, tackle and play disciplined football, it is more a reflection on the players, that they are clueless, ill disciplined and heartless when things get tough.

It's Brian's job as the coach to be above all this bullshit, can you see Bennett being bullied around by the players?

Brian doesn't have the gumption so it's time to move him on until we find someone that does. Changing coach a lot seems to work for us, maybe that's how we go from now on with signing the coach on a 1yr + 1yr option contract and see how it goes. I'd rather a transit lounge of coaches than players, especially if it works.

it is still coaches job to get them to respond. bellemy, bennett, hasler never have these problems and if they do they rectify it. even in their 'rebuilding years' they always seem to finish no worse than 8 or 9th.

Totally agree, the whole "He has lost the dressing room" line really annoys me, its up to management to tell these players who is boss, and that if they want to have a career in the nrl then stop acting like spoilt kids and man up, do what you are paid very hansomely to do, otherwise fark off.
