I partly agree with ypur Widdop comment but i think carter being on wasn't a bad move. Shoupd have been on 5mins earlier though. Besides his mistake from the play the ball. He seemed to be stinging in defense and looked fairly quick in attack.

We were getting on top of them even with Widdop. I felt that we were going to get on top of them in the second.

Yes about carter. It should have been earlier. The game was getting desperate for them and maybe he wasn't in the speed of the game.

Widdop off kind of made up for all the 50/50s that went against us.

I said kind of because the calls were so one sided.

Both of the Dragons tries came from tackles any side should be making at the top level, first Guerra and then Carter & SKD. It's not like the Dragons were creating a whole lot.

I thought the Dragons were on top for the first 15 minutes of the game but then we got control back from there on. Just lacked strike in attack. No Aubo and Latrell hurt.

Boys I'm wrapped we won, and others have mentioned very happy for Pearce.
It's only my opinion but i believe the flood gates were ready to open with Widdop running the show.
I may be a touch negative, but you also have to be honest in the appraisal of your performance to be able to improve and move ahead

The missed knock on in the 1st half was a game changing moment , we should have been on the attack.
Widdop or not we were the better team , despite our implosions and Ref mistakes.

I just don't get why we continue with the dumb mistakes. They absolutely kill us . And Carter did come up with some good hits but it was a poor effort on McDonald. He was first to miss him. When you are that fresh there is no excuse for missing that so badly.
Guerra missed tackle was horrid.
So happy for Pearce. Geez he hit that well.

We won because that last kick from St George rolled one revolution too many. The 7 tackles following set up the field goal. It could easily have been a drop out from us.

(As for our "pigs being owned" - nonsense. From about the 60 minute mark they were smashing the guts out of their opposition. Those St George forwards fade badly.)
