Strange that we are 6-2 and there is so much negativity around. I guess that is the nature of the Chookpen but so far this has been a very enjoyable season for me. We beat Penrith and Souths. We won the ANZAC day match. Life is good.

Yeah just like 13-15, when we were either the best team or the benchmark for most of that period, there were so many unhappy campers here.

After last season, I am loving how we are going. The best thing about it, is that the team still has a lot of improvement in them. I will be happy if we make the 8 this year which is very likely.

Looking forward to the next 2-3 years, which should be good and as you have said, life is pretty good as a Rooster right now.

Yep that is more or less how I feel. When your team sucks and is unlikely to even win a game, let alone make the finals, it is really hard to enjoy the NRL season. NRL is one of my favourite things so yeah when the Roosters are doing well I think we should all take a moment to enjoy it. We might not win the comp this year (but we have a chance). But we are a strong team, we are going to win games and we should play finals football. Not to mention it seems like we have a superstar fullback joining us next year and a lot of other things to like about our team, our squad, the coach and the club in general. Anyone want to relive 2009?

We can't pamper to our young studs like Wests Tigers have done to theirs. He played two poor games even by his own admission and he needs to comeback from that. He is a wonderful talent but he isnt the finished product by any means. There was premature talk of him playing SOS earlier in the year and its just absolute hyperbole, because he still has plenty of improvement left in him. We need to nurture our future stars and i think we're doing the right thing by him.

I expect Conor Watson and Latrell Mitchell back in 1st grade this year.

I hope you are right. Watson though may be better off with another club. There does not seem to be any suitable role for him. Tedesco will be fullback. Keary and Pearce the halves and Friend at hooker. As Watson is not primarily a dummy half he lacks genuine utility value in my opinion. Barring injuries it is not common to substitute fullbacks or halves. He seems much better off in a suitable role. I would love to keep him but I can't think of any way where he fits our squad.

At the start of the year I was happy to make the eight.

Now I think we can win it and will be disappointed if we don't.

We have a lot of improvement left. Saints, for example, have none.

Players need to toughen up if any reports of him being unhappy are true, being dropped was a normal part of rugby league, these days it is seen as not being wanted by a club, or players think they are untouchable, I'm sure a player will sue one Day for some form of discrimination in the workplace. The game has become soft with sledging,punching, tackling players to hard around the legs,shoulder charges, all being eliminated, of course the players are going to sook when things don't go there way.

Guys I just checked the Jizzman's forum and he posted that R6 has banned him until 2/5. Fair enough, the post was pretty bad but there are too few of us still posting these days and in my opinion he is loyal Rooster and good contributor the forum.
