I think these players can do the job.
They just need some decent direction.

The fact they were having a "meeting" and talking about the coach after that Penrith debarcle rather than taking a good long hard farking look at themselves speaks volumnes!

      Bunch of prima donna pricks!

      Chook.

Well said Chook. The players should shut up and do their jobs which is to fukn play. Right or wrong I hope Uncle Nick supports Freddy, gives him another year and we get rid of the dead wood in the off season. The players didn't put in for Anderson and we were coming last. All of a sudden Freddy takes over and what we are world beaters? Now we are back at the bottom with a similar squad and the players again are not trying.

Sacking the coach and backing the trouble makers would set a dangerous precedent. What happens if they "fall out" with the new coach?

As usual, the overpaid, underperforming players use the coach as a scapegoat to mask their own lack of motivation and poor performances.

I somehow doubt, that blokes such as Mitch Aubusson, James Aubusson, FP Nuuausala, Shane Shackleton, Sam Perrett, Jake Friend, Ben Jones, Jordan Tansey, Shaun Kenny-Dowall are the ones who would be complaining to the coach. All of the might not always be flash, but they have a dig and at least perform to the best of their ability. Even Setaimata Sa is stretching it - he may be guilty of lack of motivation at times, but I doubt he feels it is Fittler's fault.

Every time the coach is criticized, I feel as though it is the 'power' players such as Anasta, Mason, O'Meley, Myles, and maybe even Pearce who are using Fittler as a scapegoat, an easy blame for their own poor performances. The problem is, our management is more willing to keep these knuckleheads around and dump the blame on the coach, rather than taking some serious initiative, defening the coach, and telling the players to lift their games or ship out. O'Meley has played WELL below par this year, Anasta and Pearce have had little attacking synergy whatsoever, and Mason and Myles have tried have sometimes but seem to lack any form of common sense or discipline.

Since when, did the players have more power than Politis...

These rabid Bulldogs have come to our club, taken it as theirs, and held it to ransom...and on the way, have sent Chris Anderson, and now soon to be Brad Fittler, packing...

While the players are being questioned, the question has to be asked, how can these players go from top 4 and finalists in one year to Possible wooden spooners???

They are the same players, with the same set of skills.

We can call them lazy and selfish, but in the end, it is up to the coach to get the players playing to their full potential.

The Roosters are not playing to their full potential.

          Why????

Ask the coach. While the coach is not out there playing, his mark must be left on the team to have them performing for a full game.

Coaches like gibson, gould, Bennett had that Mark, they had the players trust.

          That is KEY !

Its easy to be unmotivated, although not acceptable, when you have no faith in the game plan (if there is one) and the coach

Players or coach, this one always ends messy.

Ive been critical of the lack of gameplan and I believe the coach has some probs.

But after seeing the 07 debacle, that instant turn around pissed me off more than what we had before. Players who stall performance cos they cant get their way are a danger to any club culture IMO. I thought the main culprit had already been dismissed, well I hoped so.

The answer is difficult. Everyone has an opinion either way and I agree with both sides.

Sack ALL the carnts and start again.

And Chook great post as usual mate.

Freddy is the new Opes. If Freddy gets sacked and the players grow a leg as they did after Opes left then I hope Uncle Nick bitch slaps each and every one of them. They are bunch of overpaid primadonnas .
