i would not be surprised if he decided to test his value in the market when his contract is expiring so that he can go and play his preferred position only my opinion of course and i will be upset if he decided to leave us because we went out and bought somebody else

no doubt when the time comes, the first carrot any potential suitors will wave under his nose is the No.1 position in their team....along with a sh!t load of money of course !

Right. So in other words there probably is some substance to the rumours.

That's quite a backflip after the weeks of pouring scorn on anyone who dared to suggest that he might not be totally happy

The club didn't have a choice but to sign somebody else. Every member of the coaching staff including our former fullback Anthony Minichiello have concluded that Mitchell doesn't have the motor to be a first grade fullback. He is too big and bulky and lacks the fitness to run the miles required of a fullback in the modern game. Have a look around at most of the first grade fullbacks now and you can see they aren't carrying a huge amount of bulk.

there is absolutely no substance I am simply stating my opinion that has no foundation suggesting he will leave in season 2020 is not the same as saying he is disgruntled mid way through 2017

Nah Boogie admit you got it wrong mate. He is quite clearly disgruntled now about Tedesco coming. He is trying to say the right things and appear to be gruntled about it but he is cleary disgruntled.

                    Keep on digging what?

Do you think Latrell will stay once he gets a big offer to play fullback somewhere else which will almost certainly happen soon? I doubt it from what he has said. But good luck to you if you want to believe it

Latrell wouldn't leave until his contract is up. Firstly the club would block such a move. He isn't getting paid enough to worry about him sitting in reserve grade.
Secondly no club right now would offer him a guaranteed fullback starting roll.

Regardless of any of this, he will bide his time out in the centres and hopefully will be knocking on the door of rep footy next season.

James Tedesco signed for 3 years at the club, by the end of that contract Latrell will be 23 y/o, mature enough maybe to be our full-back at that time.

The sky is the limit for him but he is in his 2nd year of first grade and got exposed last year at fb for his conditioning. He needs to understand what it takes to be a full-time professional footballer.

He needs to bide him his time and be patient. Greg Inglis wasnt a full-time fullback when he first made first grade either.

Will latrell ever have the motor to be a modern day full back, he was brilliant yesterday but yea someone pointed out most fullbacks are a bit smaller then latrell and he doesnt come across as naturally fit if that makes sense i think hed gain bodyweight easy not necessarilly quality weight, inglis had a couple of ok seasons at fb but i think is also to big, i think fbs these days i think minichiello, boyd, slater etc late 80/ early 90 s weight wise super fit

Tommy Turbo has a large frame but is more slender than Latrell but apart from him, Inglis and Hayne (who is a centre more often these days) you are spot on, most modern day FBs are on the smaller side with massive motors.

Played well. With SKD pretty much toast he'll have the rest of the season to keep building on it too.

I guess the rumours of Latrell being s delicate snowflake who was crumbling under evil Robbo's hand aren't true?
