Totally agree, we could do worse then resign gordon for cheap as well

What was that game in the wet last year where he potted over everything from the sideline? Absolutely nailed every single one with a beautiful follow through, which was really unexpected.

I'd be fine with him - after getting some training from Fitzy - being our kicker.

The only question mark is, will he be on the field 80 minutes or not?
Pretty sure he kicked 5/5 that day

I think the whole move to fullback thing really stuffed Fergo around a bit. He trimmed down a lot, seemed to lose a lot of strength, and clearly became less effective in attack. The injury also played its part of course. Then there was a period of time where his defense was about as bad as I've seen from a centre. So although I feel attack wise he is best suited to centre I wouldn't be comfortable with him there due to his defense. And we have Latrell and Joey, who I'm more than happy with moving forward as our centres. Fergo has been playing better of late no doubt, and he may continue to improve, but personally i'd prefer to keep Gordon for another year... Then we could use the money saved to bring back Omar Slimeankle

He is a must keep, on a wingers wage.

Sure enough Fergo has played well the last few games but why do fans get amnesia regarding all the other crap games he had served up. Since coming to the club has he honestly lived up to expectation? Do we want say another 3 years of inconsistency? He is a winger now, If he could kick goals, well that would maybe make him valuable and a keeper. I'd take Chambers over him anyday of the week

For mine no he hasn't, he still has major problems with his game is in coming in in defence when he was at centre, sloppy defence in tackle technique. Not worth the coin he will command, Hell Jenko was by far a better option than Fergo is/was. Jenko could pull a try from his backside, had much better defence and had speed to burn.

                I agree.

The only reason we pursued Fergo was because he palmed off everyone but Santa Claus, the day he played us ( Raiders). Since then, he has not been that destructive, and his palm is not existent. Buy chambers, mature both Manu and Mitchell, whilst showcasing the best backline in the comp.

So one half decent performance from Fergo and he's irreplaceable? I think not.

The bloke has cost us plenty of tries in the past season or so with his lazy arsed defence and I don't give a shyte attitude. Scoring a couple here and there won't even up that ledger.

He's not worth anything near what he will be expecting to be paid and we could get the same or better performances from a player on half his salary.

Give me the choice between Gordon and Ferguson for 2018 and I'll take Gordon in a heartbeat - at least you know he'll give 100% each week and is consistent. And he's a great role model and mentor around the club for the younger blokes to model themselves on. Not to mention the fact he'll come pretty cheap and so is great value for money when you consider he kicks goals as well.

Yes Fergo had a great game on Sunday but lets put things in perspective. There are many factors in play with Fergos sudden change in form. There's contract s, rep games, quality of the oppositions, quality of our side...maybe more? I'm sure that one game will not persuade the powers to all of a sudden to sign him up.

Pretty sure when he plays on the wing he is usually very good, meninga and Daley seem to know he is a winger, hopefully Robbo keeps him there instead of changing him from centre and wing.

It all comes down to money, he has stated he wants an upgrade from the centre money he is on...for a winger. Remember that Daley and Meninga don't pay his salary either, will probably demand way more than he's worth.

So weaken a position, to justify the money, when two rookies are doing a better job at centre than him?

He won't play Centre at the Roosters next year, full stop. If he was going to, he would be there now.

I always thought Fergo was better suited to playing centre but I dont think that anymore. I would only play him on the wing or left right out.
