Also the fact that Nathan Ross is only on 75k a year means we could offer him double his current contractor more and still not spend much on him.

Luke Keary. Ex south sydney diver. Hardly think Robbo gives a shit about what they did or were coached to do. That's easily changed. As for character flaws, we have signed players convicted of indecent assault, domestic violence etc I hardly think taking the occasional dive would scare us off a player

75k a year?? Would have to be on more than that surely. It's 80 minimum for a top 25 player and he wouldn't be minimum wage.

It was reported today he was "around $150,000 per season".

My mistake the article i read said a 150k 2 year deal. Either way he's still being underpaid, especially when you consider newcastle are paying jack stockwell 325k a season

He was happy to sign at that time so he has to suck it up.

If you can believe the Lurker.......

Blake Ferguson’s slashing hat trick against Parramatta last Sunday saved the controversial Sydney Roosters star’s career at the club.

The Roosters have seriously been considering not re-signing Ferguson, who is off contract at the end of the season, despite the fact he is a current Test player.

The club has not been happy with the former Raider’s attitude off the field and need to find room in the salary cap with James Tedesco coming in from the Tigers on big dollars.

With Latrell Mitchell and Joseph Manu developing into top-line players and Connor Watson also coming on, the Roosters were close to cutting Ferguson loose.

But the centre/winger’s dynamic performance against the Eels convinced coach Trent Robinson and senior Roosters officials that Ferguson still has plenty to offer.

Ferguson has also improved his attitude to training and that has been enough to persuade the Roosters to offer him a new two year deal.
With Shaun Kenny-Dowall likely to move on, the club will need Ferguson’s experience over a long season.

The price would have to be right. And I don't see us getting close to the money he is being offered elsewhere.

PS. Two of the tries could have easily been disallowed and we would be talking about him bombing them.

tbh, i can't see him staying (that is a good thing IMO).

Tigers, Knights or even the Eels will throw stupid money at him and he'll move on.

I'll be very disappointed if we offer him big money

With dragons losing Dugan, fergo could be their perfect replacement.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that dugan was off to cronulla the same topic that johnny tobin heard that gagai was staying at newcastle that means I have a higher success percentage of player transfers than the lurker
