And guess who is at home again on a televised Friday night?

Reminds me of the days of watching manly with the Moose, only worse.

Surely ch9 must have run out of bullshit to talk about them...

Whilst I'm on my rant, I'm sick of Wally fukn Lewis telling stories about himself...boring as batshit

These are not high drawing games for us.
I agree. Also, I don't know the exact stats but I believe STORM & especially SHARKS love playing US at Allianz. I remember Wade Graham destroying us one game there. We were actually big favorites and he single handedly won it for them (then again Wade plays well in nearly all games against us).

The Gummies have pulled our pants down since 2014.....home & away. We are yet to beat them.

I try but cannot cleanse from my memory the game in 2015 (i think) when their very average half-back Jeff Robson crashed through some soft forwards to snatch victory after we led for most of the game. What makes that defeat worse is they were languishing down the bottom from all that peptides drama and we were up top .

Does anyone else remember this painful loss?

I do remember that shocking loss.

In 2014 when we blew a 24 nil lead to an awful, injury ravaged Sharks side.

Probably the most embarrassing defeat I can recall when you consider the quality of our team.

We were brilliant at blowing big leads that year!

remember when we took our home game vs cows to Darwin, what a fiasco!all to make a few bucks on the side?
now were doing it over origin two weeks in a row, well have some diehard fans at gosford but not a big role up in adelaide v melbourne who we could beat at6 home over origin period!

there will be sharks fans at gosford but we should be the majority with our wyong connection? although jimmy is a local boy? in adelaide all those curious afl fans will cheer for melbourne over sydney?

I can accept taking 1 game away. But taking 2 games away, especially the Storm in Adelaide which will essentially be a home game for them (all other states in Oz unite in their hatred for NSW and especially Sydney), is a joke.

I especially don't understand why we always seem to schedule these games to happen during origin and bye periods which essentially means no rooster games in Sydney for over 6 weeks. Great way to have fans lose interest is to take them out of sight, out of mind.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, there's a bit of NSW v Qld between SA and Victoria

Actually Adelaide despises Melbourne. More likely they will go for us.

I'm in Adelaide a lot and know that South Australians dislike Victorians.

I would be surprised if they supported the Storm over the Roosters.

Adelaide hates Melbourne. It's an AFL thing. We will definitely have crowd support.

I spoke with Brian Canaan about this when he was CEO. He stated that he was aware the fans didn't like it but it was purely a financial decision and to secure the future of the club.

Either way I really hate it. Once a year is bad enough but 2 home games and 2 in a row is really annoying.
Purely a financial decision... the NRL gives them big cash to move the game. They then double (essentially triple) charge fans for their tickets by taking their membership money, their ticket money and the NRL's money.

I've calculated that memberships and tickets probably never break even. We take in maybe $3M a year from memberships and $500k a game from tickets. After the cost of renting the facilities, paying staff...etc I can't see there being a lot of cash remaining. Surely all the money is in sponsorships/TV deals and hitting us up for more cash when a 'home' game is moved (after we've already paid for our membership) is just pure greed that hits us in the hip pocket but means very little in the scheme of things?

Tempting to get some legal advice if they do it to us again. At $40 a ticket times 30k members, they are harvesting ~$2.5mil from people who have already paid. IMO if the Roosters change the contract, we should either get free tickets or the cost of 2 tickets.

I went to the parra game last week, and the atmosphere was rubbish. We get 10000 to a all Sydney clash, if everybody who complained about us moving games away from the SFS went to them, we probably wouldn't have to move them.
Sure... you look after my 19 month old kid every weekend and I'll make the trip from Canberra. Sunday games are an issue too coz like... I've gotta work on Monday.
