I guess context is all... drinking's fine but this guy has a history involving DUI convictions and turning up to training drunk.

My only comment is that he's playing for Wyong and it's not so hard to believe that...
    - He's a utility so forwards are ahead of him in the pecking order for impact players. Tetevano has been magic, Smith has been quality and Collins is getting a go.
    - As a half/hooker Robbo has determined (purely on merits) that Watson and Nikorima are better than him. Nikorima's out so Cornish has been picked... Cornish is also better than him.
    - On merit you're looking at Friend, Pearce, Keary, Watson, Nikorima, Cornish... maybe Smith.
    - If you add to this mix that Carter may or may not be taking his professional footy career as seriously as the others... he's simply not suitable for selection unless they are all out.

I don't think we need to speculate whether he's doing stuff that may or may not have happened. If he wants to get selected then he needs to show the form and commitment that guys like Tetevano and Watson are displaying. He's just a 5th string utility, who doesn't deserve any special treatment. Maybe he's simply not good enough for our 1st grade squad? Watson's pretty good and even he is struggle to get minutes...

I'm sure there's a heap of reserve-grade players who have their vices holding them back. Carters may or may not be the drink. Maybe he's sober and Rip Taylor's gone 'alright well sorry mate but you're a little better when sober, but nothing to call Robbo about urgently... keep trying and see how you go...'

lol man but he wasnt picked for Wyong either.

If Carter was playing even just ok and sober he would have been picked for Roosters this weekend, its laughable to suggest otherwise.

And too add to Mad Rooters comment, it was only a couple of weekends ago most posters were included him in their top 17. On balance he is far better value on the bench than Watson when at full strength.

Okay sorry, I didn't know that not being named for Wyong means you must have run amok and been blackballed.

Who says he's not injured or under-performing? You're acting like he's Todd Carney. He was never an amazing player...

love your posts man so dont take offence.

He is a decent first grade player who was talked about as a possible future origin rep a few years ago so the dude has a tonne of ability.

If Garbo and Cornish are named ahead of him even Radley and Butcher who have either no fg experience yet or have yet to play first grade in Radleys case then you can assume he is injured or not behaving himself.

If he is not playing for Wyong either then its obviously not an ability/performance issue that you are trying to suggest is a possibility.

Add the fact that several credible posters on here have alluded that Carter has gone off the rails suggests to me that he has been misbehaving. You can take this like a grain of salt but to suggest its lack of ability or poor performance is laughable. I dont know if he is injured, I do hope he is but most of the indicators are leading to an inference that he is misbehaving.

I think it's the fact that he has not been reported as injured. And he is not playing for Wyong. If that's the case then it's an attitude/behavioural issue.

Carter is injured. He has had an epi in his back. They are resting him.

Reports are the only injury he has is lego stuck in each and every one of his orifices.
Due to the discover that one of those lego pieces was actually duplo he has been told to **** off up to wyong and will not be allowed near first grade again
