Not a great investment in hindsight.
In his first couple of years he was all we had. In 2010 he was great. In 2012 he dropped his bundle when he worked out they didn't want him. Overall I think he has more positives than negatives.

He has done pretty well in the female department over the years.

Really? You'd have to remind what the positives were again. Was signed on big money to play in the halves but his record for us in the halves speaks for itself. About as effective as a witches hat

He did well for us so I don't why people say otherwise - easy to be an arm chair/keyboard critic when you have never done it yourself though- Too many Statler and Waldorfs here I suspect

Did some good things on the field but unfortunately played in a team full of clowns such as Mason, Myles, Carney etc.

Overall he was a poor man's Freddy but at least he had a crack each week.

He was more like a poor man's Trent Barrett who was a poor man's Freddy.

But he led us through some dark times with distinction and integrity and for that he has my respect.

He was a good captain for most of his time here as you don't see the current crop serve it up when the team need's a rocket, Freddy did it as did Fitz and Braith. Also no one in this current team can put up a bomb like Braith could, my god he had the highest bomb you could ever see at night they were almost impossible. He might not have been as good as Freddy but he's a hell of alot better than the worst we have had in the past, a good player not great but good none the less.

Tried hard most of the time. Not quite up to it for the marquee wages he was on. Put in perspective we brought him as a marquee 5/8th our best season with him was when he was finally moved from that postition Once he was gone from the team all together we won the comp the following year

                      Good field goal though

My memories of Anasta are that I lost count of how many kick offs he sent over the dead ball line on the full.
