  • Lillyman

Small article in the Telecrap today claims we are looking at a short term deal for Jacob Lillyman.

I don't mind the idea. A better option than Tim Grant, but would no doubt be a bit more expensive.

A repeat of the LO'D signing, or is he past it? Thoughts?

i think we are looking for an experienced prop who can give us about 25 quality minutes every week, so he can probably do that.

As a current Origin player i doubt he'd be a cheap signing.

Average 130m a game and about 25 tackles for 2017, would probably be a better player at the roosters than warriors also.

He's a better option than Grant. Not a bad pickup for a number 3/4 front rower. Ignore the origin part, he has been there through loyalty and a lack of front row depth for Queensland.

          Could be good.
Another version of the Danny Nuttley scenario, but he'd be playing in a better team.

I still would like to have Nelson A-Solomona.
            Lillyman wont be cheap.

I'd take Joe O over both of them.

Apparently he is on 400k this year. He will be 34 when the season kicks off. Wouldn't offer him more than 300k.

                    Exactly.

So all the talk of chasing one of the Burgess's wasn't serious, as a prop who's only going to play 15-20 minutes a game, they'd want to be cheap

Lillyman would be a very solid addition.

He's no LOD but he's an experienced tough prop that we look to be lacking for next season.

We could do with our own Heigno off the bench.
