The ABC commentators were "giving it" to Phil for this casual approach in bringing the ball back all game.
Was sitting behind the goal posts, and he looked like he was in slow motion!
He had a lot of strapping on his leg in the second half.
His higher tackle breaks to Mini, gives the defensive line the idea that he is deceptively slow lol!
One one play, he backed up, but was run down easily.
Maybe played injured in the 2nd half?
I think Smith said Mini is back for the Tigers.

I think Graham runs back slowly until he gets near the defence & then tries to accelerate through a perceived gap. Don't think this works all that well. I would prefer an initial burst of speed then slow down & then accelerate. Might get him an extra 8 - 10 metres on longer kicks. Cause he's not fast AND strong enough to break through.

Graham runs the way he does because it's more effective for a guy with his slighter frame and good footwork to do so. If he hits it up at full pace, best case scenario he probably gets broken in half by an opposing forward, worst case he goes off on a stretcher and that REALLY kills momentum.
I'd rather take 1 extra line break from him looking for opportunities to use his pace rather than some extra "confidence" from him blindly smacking himself into a wall. If our fowards need Phil Graham to spear himself into a Greg Inglis shoulder to fire up then Graham really isn't the problem at all.
Id love to play in your footy side, Id just drop to the ground and get a dominant tackle against me, BTW id rather Josh Hoffman, Josh Dugan or a Billy Slater even Nathan Gardner over a Phil Graham anyday and his Line Breaks were thanks to typical shithouse defence by Souths with Sandow trying to put on his big shots.

At least Lydon made some cohesive arguments, you make a couple of ad hominem attacks, the "best" of them being about double use of a word when your own post is completely devoid of correct spelling or grammar.
Then you say you would rather have Billy Slater than Phil Graham, what farking genius!
Thanks for the powerful insights you muppet.
The fact is everyone here is down on him when he was statistically one of the better fullbacks in the comp this round in his second game there in 10 years. If you wanna talk about stuff that can't be measured HE STAYS THE FARK OUT OF FIRST RECEIVER AND WE SCORE POINTS.
Everyone was down on Myles when he consistently gains a heap of metres for us and makes a bunch of tackles. He saved a try with a Hindmarsh like play, when 99 out of a hundred forwards in the comp wouldn't even be expected to be there to make the play. Soft. No effort.
People just ride on "easy" targets based on some perception of how they play or their attitude despite actual evidence to the contrary, which is just dismissed with some lame excuse.
If all Graham's breaks were based on typical bad Souths defence why did BJ only have 2? Was he playing against a different team? He's a real up and comer that kid, future of the club and only 2 dropped balls. Good game BJ!
This place has so many sacred cows that I'm wondering if some of the posters here are involved in recruitment and team selection. If so, I can't wait to see the next signing. When is Adrian Purtell off contract?
Where are the threads on Symonds? We probably have 100 to 1 Ryles to Symonds threads but Symonds is sooo much worse with the stupid penalties and stuff WITHOUT some impact or yardage to go along. In fact, I haven't seen a bigger red headed clown since Fatty.
Why isn't SKD copping it from all quarters? His form is sooooo far down it is a joke. With his new deal he could be the next Braith, but do we just wait until the last year of his contract before we analyse his performances?
This place needs a reality check.
