Between the SKD and Carter cases the NSW government must be on the hook for $200-300K easy for this thing once you consider the court costs and police man hours involved.

    What a waste of time
    100% agree.

It's possible that SKD was offered some kinda plea bargain given this has only just come out. Plead guilty + tell us who the supplier was and we'll try to get you a section 10 from the judge.

Now they're stuck trying to prove Carter's some kingpin drug dealer because he gave his mate a small bag of cocaine :P

          Sometimes the rumours are correct:

          http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/f...10-gx8lga.html

Former NRL player Paul Carter is set to face court next month charged with allegedly supplying cocaine to his ex-Roosters teammate Shaun Kenny-Dowall earlier this year.

Carter is alleged to have supplied Kenny-Dowall with the drug at Sydney nightclub, The Ivy, in May.Paul Carter was allegedly caught on video supplying drugs to a former teammate. Photo: Mark Kolbe
Kenny-Dowall who was arrested, and subsequently released from the Roosters, last month pleaded guilty in court to having 0.29 grams of cocaine on him.

Kenny-Dowall, 29, escaped conviction after making the "monumental mistake" of accepting a small amount of the drug at The Ivy. RELATED ARTICLES

Police allege video shows Carter supplying the drug to another man inside the nightclub.

Carter, 25, played 40 NRL games in total with Gold Coast, South Sydney and the Roosters, since making his debut in 2014.

He was believed to have turned up to Rabbitohs training after an alcohol-fuelled bender that prompted him to check into a rehabilitation facility in Thailand.

That incident came less than a month after he was also understood to have been stood down for four weeks for also arriving for training under the influence of alcohol.

The son of Penrith premiership-winning playmaker Steve Carter also had his contract torn up by Gold Coast in 2014 after repeat drink-driving offences.

Seven News reported that Carter was now living with his father at Coffs Harbour.

Kenny-Dowall, who was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond, has since joined the Newcastle Knights.

Before signing the two-and-a-half year deal with the Knights last month, Kenny-Dowall feared his career was over.

"It definitely goes through your mind, it's been a roller-coaster ride," Kenny-Dowall told Fairfax Media.

"I have to take individual responsibility and ownership for my actions.

"I made some bad choices on that night that I'm going to have to live with forever."

Hair follicle testing revealed Kenny-Dowall had no drugs in his system and the Knights opted to throw the former New Zealand international a lifeline.

Carter is due to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on August 23.
