Hi WB, just curious. Is young Lam similar to Jackson Hastings, where ego and attitude is greater than the talent he possesses?

I hope the club goes after Jamal Fogarty, the backup half at the Titans.
Great vision and support runner, plays half, 5/8 and fullback and a gun goalkicker.
Just needs an opportunity and more game time in NRL.

How would he know ? He has played touch against him and by what he is saying he doesnt know him personally. Ive refereed young Lam @ touch and Ive seen no such behaviour that Warea beast claims. I dont know him but from what Ive seen of him he seems confident in his own abilities. As a touch player I rate him Cant say about league I havent seen enough of him.

No, he will playing for us against the Knights next weekend. Just doesn't know yet if it is as Fullback or No 9.

This is coming from a reliable source.

However, it is looking likely he will be leaving us at the end of the season.

As For Watson ..a bloke just spoke to him a few hours ago and he said he hadnt signed with anyone yet and doesnt know what he is doing yet and not even sure if he is playing fullback or hooker against the knights.

A lot of unprovoked trash talking, threatens to 'smash' opposition after the game, lots of niggle (shoves etc), accuses people of trying to injure him... His conduct is poor enough that I strongly considered contacting the club to let them know how poorly he behaves. It's a feeling shared by many players in the comp.

Lets put some perspective into this. IF you do play touch regularly again LL you would also be playing against his father. Adrian would def encourage competitiveness but not the sort of carry on that you are alluding too.
You want to contact the club about the way a kid plays touch. Sounds to me like you have and never will play sport at any level above low grade backyard knitting.

People can have an off day, but this kid would not regularly act out like this. Maybe your team is just full of dickheads that are causing it all.

Boogie the June 30 deadline has passed so he is not allowed to play for another club in 2017. So presumably he is a Rooster until at least the end of the year.

Watson was never going to stay with us. He is a half, and has no prospects of playing in that position for us for years. Playing back up hooker would only hurt his value after a couple years as he really is not suited to the role.

I said earlier in the year that if/when Watson leaves, I hoped he'd go somewhere that would help him develop and not just chase big money. The Tigers were the team I listed as a good example of a bad choice for Watson. The knights probably aren't much better really.... although they have put together a very raw but somewhat decent squad for next year with Watson, SKD, Guerra, and Ponga. However they still have no veteran player who can lead them.

The knights need to chase Maloney big time. Throw the bank at him. Give him whatever he wants, and make him captain. He is precisely what they need to steer the young squad they have around the park.

                                http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/l...14-gxblji.html

Newcastle have won the race for the signature of Connor Watson after granting the Roosters utility his wish of playing in the halves.

Watson has agreed to a three-year deal with the Knights, knocking back the opportunity to replace James Tedesco at fullback for Wests Tigers. The joint-venture club defeated Newcastle a fortnight ago in what was dubbed as the battle for the wooden spoon, but the Novocastrians have had their revenge, securing Watson's signature.
