  • Injury Updates- Friend/Cords/Flash/Radley

Apparently as per below Friend and possibly Cords may return in round 22 - Flash possibly in round 25 - Club is hopeful Radley has a thumb issue and not a broken hand like Friends - scans on Sunday- If Cords plays I suggest he would come from the bench not having played for quite a while - eased into the game possibly?

With Tetevano and TKO playing like Gorden Tallis and David Gillespie, Cordner can rest up until he's fully fit.
    SUPER DRAGON!

How good were they! SST was amazing for us, changed the game. Tetevano was also so good for us and bent the line every hit up.Very underrated

DT saying that Gordon is out for the season...Any truth to this or is this just reporting without the facts?

          TKO COULD BE ROOSTERS KNOCKOUT

THEY call him TKO, and he is the Sydney Roosters cut-price version of Mr JT, Jason Taumalolo.

But while Sio Siua Taukeiaho doesn’t yet grab the spotlight of the North Queensland wrecking ball, TKO is fast proving his worth to the Roosters as they prepare to step up in the run for this year’s finals series.

Last week against Taumalolo’s Cowboys, Taukeiaho came into the game off the bench and charged for a massive 210m in what was undoubtedly his best performance for the club.

Our mate from Fox Sports Stats and Roosters tragic Aaron Wallace, has labelled Taukeiaho “the generic brand Taumalolo”.

“Wally” reckons it was the first time a player starting on the bench run for more than 200m and kicked a goal in a game.

While the goal kicks might be important with Michael Gordon gone for the season, it’s his ability to make big metres that is most crucial for the Roosters’ heavyweight pack.

Taukeiaho had a slow start to the season after doing his ACL late last year and later missing a few more games with a hamstring injury.

But you get the feeling with the weeks counting down to September, Taukeiaho has timed his run to perfection.

He spoke this week about how the Roosters still have an eye on knocking off Melbourne to claim their fourth minor premiership in five years after last year’s disappointing 15th placed finish.

If they can take down Manly on Sunday at Lottoland, the Roosters face the Storm on Saturday week in Melbourne in what is shaping up as a top of the table shootout.

Right now everyone is saying this title is the Storm’s to lose.

I reckon of all the genuine premiership chances it’s the Roosters who have the most upside left in them.

And TKO might just be their X-factor, the man to lift their pack to the championship title like Sonny Bill Williams did back in 2013.

I reckon he means season proper. i.e. not including semis

I saw Gordon interviewed the other day and he said hopefully Melbourne but certainly the next week.

Would rather Friendy have an extra week off, and come back refreshed. Making 50 plus tackles a game takes its toll.

Fit and refreshed Cords, Friend and Flash is a bonus with the semis just around the corner.

Im thinking if he was going to play then Cornish would drop off the interchange but if the mole is right & he doesnt play then Cornish will will stay on the bench. So it will be the same 17 as last week.

I'm not sure I see the value in Cornish on the bench. With MAubs and Matto we have the flexibility to cover backline injuries. I'd rather an extra forward - Butcher, on the bench.

It's better for Jake to wait the extra week to get that hand right. The good thing is we have some depth this year in the key positions.
