Its been a while Tom, hope all is well. You mentioned Rogerson earlier. My uncle was a cop in South Australia years ago and he tells a story or two about Roger when he had to come over here and work with him.
He basically said he wasn't about being crooked, it was just the way he though police work should be done and the best way to control the crooks. Just born at the wrong time

That's exactly right. He was taught by old school detectives like Noel Morey and Ray Kelly, and Roger's mistake was in not realizing that times were changing and that that sort of thing wouldn't be tolerated anymore.

Yep. I read 'em all. Ned had another book or two in him as well, but they confiscated his laptop a few years ago.
