Apart from beating the sharks and hopefully by us beating the sea eagles we can open up a decent gap for second spot, they also showed us the formula to beating our hoodoo team. Up the middle and inside the edges and once we establish dominance there we have the speed and skill outside to put points on them. We just need the ref to keep the bastards 10 meters away consistently

Key game in terms of the table - as you point out OMR, if we can win this game we will go close to locking in top two.

Having said that, i am not confident. Brookie is not a happy hunting ground for us and i think our injuries will bite us at some point - nervous that might be today.

    fingers crossed - go Easts!!

a win today would go a long way to securing a top 2 finish with tough away games against melbourne and cronulla we need to win today

Today is a walk in the park. Beagles are dropping and will be lucky to make the 8, I would be surprised if we win by less the 30.

I think the players felt this way when they led 18 to 4- lost their Steel as Robbo rightfully said and were not good enough to wrestle back the momentum they gifted Manly from just before half time and virtually through the second half- Manly were easily making 70 plus metres in their sets of six from that point on and very sloppy defence and errors crept in as a result.

Robbo has a mighty task getting what will be a patched up side for the next game against the Storm - no guarantee Cords or Friend will be back and what difference will they make in any case- poor defence and attack has been often the way this season even though ultimately winning many of those matches despite this - Toops/SST out through injury and Fergo suspended will result in a re-jig of the side.

I would think that Maubs and Matterson will be playing in the centres with Latrell/Manu on the wing (swap in defence and attack which may be an issue given the Storm attack from set and broken play attack)- The forwards will need to bash the Storm forwards and main backs within the rules of course to have any chance of beating them.
