  • Was this really unexpected???

I made mention last week that we are poor on our right edge defence, Pearce, Manu and Fergo are terrible at reading the play, they rush in and up at different times, they misread each other, they really have no clue.

We panic in both attack and defence, there seems to be no composure.

Dumbarse penalties kill us, JWH just gives away dumb penalty after dumb penalty.

WE got away with a couple of wins playing half a game, the good sides like the Storm, Sharks will lap us if we cannot play for a full 80 mins.

Robbos use of the bench is ordinary, Although only a new poster i have viewed the site as a visitor and many a poster has mentioned this, why select Cornish and only play him 9 minutes in 2 weeksm select another backrower to share the workload, Maubs or Pearce could move into the 9 to give Radley or Friend a break if needed. It was obvious our Forwards were tiring and being run over but we had no options to replace them

We have a very very long way to go to even stay in the top 4, finishing 5th and playing an in form riff team in an elimination semi would be the end of us.

Next season is our year, a serious match winner in Tedesco.

After today the fat lady is clearing her throat

Playing 80 minutes is above this teams capabilities at the moment - they have been found out a few times already this year and lucky to get away with it at other times too in winning games from behind or playing poorly as you mentioned- one player will not make a difference next season as who knows what will happen next year - other teams are better/injuries and form could affect a team etc etc - 17 players need to be on the same page and the second half last week- it looked like that fact had sunk in.

Alas today back to the poor indifferent performance of 16 or 17 individuals not playing as a team which has plagued their season up and until now- with injuries today (Toops/SST) and possible suspension (Fergo) - next weeks team will be a patched up side even if Friend and Cords play - Maubs and Matterson may have to play in the centres for instance- need to win 3 out of last 4 to finish top 4 at least - Storm/Tigers/Sharks/Titans- If they truly believe they can win this comp they need to start showing this from now on starting with the Storm game and put in 80 minute performances from here on in for the rest of the season.

I reckon we are a bit like the Raiders were last year. Our attack is good enough to blind anybody, but we lack a backup plan when that doesn't work.

can someone explain to me the defence on fergo wasnt a penalty if not then a penalty try?i understand whynot penalty try but he was taken in the air attempting to catch and score, is that not a professional foul?

Only works for the defender. Video said he lost ball in the contest before the tackle.

This is the most poignant statement of the whole arguement. This is a 17 man game, the team who uses their bench best usually win.

We are shy a Genuine Prop rotation , which we have covered with the way SST, Zane and Guerra are being used, the weak link is when we are carrying a passenger just incase a play maker gets injured, but in the case of last week end where SST got injured, we were found out as extra work load was put on existing big boys and they were dominated with out relief.

Need to have 4 big bodies on the bench , if a play maker gets injured Aubs pushes to centre everyone else move in one. ( Plan B )

Nippy play makers can not function if the Forwards are being dominated and this was compounded by the opposition uses a rushing outside in defense which was employed with good effect on the week end and took time away from our halves reaction time.
