I think that is an accurate statement.
Look, Bouris is Bouris.
Is he a sycophant??
I dont know.
But I want to make this clear.
This is not a personal attack on Mark or any of the other board members and I would tell them this face to face.
I respect them for what they have acheived in their personal lives.
But the track record of the last 5 years is appalling.
The men that are there are probably Easts men but I tell you one thing most of them dont relate to the average punter.
They also dont know what the players want or need.
This club has been pulling itself apart for some time.barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

And honestly I would not expect him to buy tickets, as he has committed more than enough but it was the attitude that annoyed me.
On the board thing, I get alot of mixed messages. I hear what a good guy Bouris is and some of the others. How they value the juniors etc etc yet they seem to not show it. People say they liked Fisk, but when he went there were alot of cheers.
My honest opinion, if it was not for Noyce the club would be screwed as well as having no juniors at allThe Internet is a place for posting silly things

So now we are blaming the board ???
There board is great and there is nothing wrong with it. I could not think of a better group of directors to be in charge of the financial management of my club.
In fact we are lucky to have such a pool of wisdom directing out club and expanding our financial wealth.Last edited by Optimus Prime; 06-01-2009, 07:27 PM.

Shut up fool
There is nothing wrong with our board. IMO the board is only there to run the business side of things and it seems to be doing extremely well at that.Last edited by Optimus Prime; 06-01-2009, 11:31 PM.

Calm down Lenny.
Can you read??
Do you think that the board members dont have a say in footy matters?
You know talkin to you reminds me of a conversation we had a while back.........
Lennie: I don't need no fancy foods like beans with ketchup!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
George Milton: You had a cigarette and a drink and a look at a pretty dress, and it cost you fifteen bucks! You just shot a week's pay to walk on that red carpet!
Candy: A week's pay? Sure, but I worked weeks all my life. I don't remember none of them weeks, but this - nearly twenty years ago - I remember that.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lennie: I wish we had some ketchup.
George: Whatever we ain't got, that's what you want!barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

I know more than a couple of people that deal with this "amazingly great" board and let me tell you, from what you have written you don't even know what they look like let alone have dealt with them.
The board are who cut the Harold Matts and SG Ball, why because they didn't want to honour contracts to players. Now thats simply stunning managementLast edited by Kingbilly; 06-02-2009, 08:57 AM.The Internet is a place for posting silly things

Look at what one of our board members is gonna be up to......
Anyone going to apply to be a contestant???
FremantleMedia Australia is to produce an Australian version of The Apprentice led by former Wizard Home Loans creator Mark Bouris.
The ten part series is due to screen on Nine later this year, with a call for contestants expected this week.
Bouris said the local format would be less ostentatious than either of the previous Mark Burnett formats and maintain a ‘quintessential Australian feel.’ “Trump’s pretty fast … he’s not my go,” Bouris told the Sunday Telegraph.
“I’m not one of those boys who like to show off their toys and I don’t think it’s the right time to be doing that. I think it’s a bit insensitive.”
The winner of an Aussie series will secure a “senior position” at Bouris’s financial-services firm, Yellow Brick Road, and will be paid a handsome “six-figure salary.”
Nine CEO added, “We’ll be giving a group of aspiring professionals the chance to be exposed to one of the country’s best businessmen.
“Mark’s tough and aggressive, with mountains of integrity.”Don't be afraid to step out in the rain. Take a chance. Sometimes the only way to get your rainbow is by getting wet.

Of course, the first thing that needs to happen is Politis has to go, and the rest of the board with him. A fresh start is needed, with no-one involved who has links to Politis
The new board must have zero input into the playing roster. Noyce is allowed to do the job a CEO should do - which is to be ultimately responsible for all matters relating to football club operations.
The new board has only 3 primary responsibilities
1) Oversee bottom line financial management
2) Assess the performance of Noyce
3) Assist in areas like attracting corporate support and sponsorship, and lobbying NRL stakeholders with regards to matters that effect the Roosters
Simply, this club will never be great again until Politis is history
And although the fans who post on this forum can disagree on many things, it never ceases to amaze me that more Roosters fan aren't completely over him
