im with you. look at his stats. his numbers are up in all departments this year and the silly errors/penalties are on the decline. imo he and kennedy will form one of the best frontrow combinations in the nrl. we should definitely keep him imo but regardless, this article is crap as far as im concerned

Spot on. The main reasons for our failure this year is what has happened off the field and the resulting loss in confidence on the field.

If we have a better run with injuries and our star player sorts his head out, there is enough talent there to be successful next year.

The players who we SHOULD be looking at cutting are the lazy bastards - not JWH whose level of effort has been better than most of the guys out there.

Start him in the backrow with Guerra and Maubs next year.

          Keep him.

          Could be something special.

If we lose him, then he is another casualty of Anasta (and Minichiello, even).

          It would be beyond disgraceful.

Jared must stay, he's been great and will only get better. JWH will play for NZ this year..

I agree JWH always gives 110% and should be held onto tight, he will continue to develop into a top notch forward for us. Roosters would be stark raving mad if they let him go.

Funky, remember what club you're talking about.

                - We need a forward who'll be a stabilizing influence on the young blokes at the club - Let's get him.

                - We need a 5/8th to replace Freddy - Let's get him.

                - You can go to England, we're putting a slow, ponderous forward on the wing.

                And my personal favorite.

                - No, we don't need him, he's a shit second grade player or a bench warmer at best.

JWH is as likely to go as not.

on the one hand this would be disappointing but realistically, maubs and cordner for mine are our secondrow combination going forward and i find it hard to displace either of those for guerra. when you throw in cherrington, symonds, leilua, FPN, tasi, lowe, bosden; its understandable that he is unlikely to be retained. i will be disappointed to see him go but the consolation is that it means that we keep arguably the better talent on our books (cordner and maubs in particular as our starting backrow)

I'm keen for an arguement. 'Where is all that talent atm?'

Guerra is the form forward at this club! Half of those players you have mentioned are/have underperformed consistently all year.
If he does get released it'll bite us hard, if cherro can't come back, if symonds/FPN continue downward spiral, if BJ stays on the wing, if Cordner (lesser extent) /Bosden/Lowe are to develop in 1st graders at all, if if if if if if.

In Guerra you already have a first grader. You already know he puts in 100% every game. You already know he can be destructive. You see him scoring ties/offloading/tackle break/creating in attack/organising the D. You see his effort week in week out. Did I miss anything?

This is what I see and if the powers that be don't - What fools!

agreed with G Unit, if we let Guerra go, we will pay for it.

Whne you have people like Bellamy go absolutly skitz over a player when they sign for a rival club, you know they have the talent and the skill.

                            I agree G-unit.

For all the talk of our back row riches, a LOT of the stocks talked about are either (1) desperately out of form - FPN, Symonds, Anasta (2) injury prone - Cherrington, Cordner (3) unproven in FG - Tasi, Lowe, Cordner, Bosden or (4) unproven in the backrow - BJ. I agree we need to hang on to players showing obvious potential (Tasi and Cordner in particular look the goods), but we still need blokes that are proven first graders such as Guerra and Myles (still don't think it was the right call to let him go).

Manly coach Des Hasler was fuming when the Roosters poached Waerea-Hargreaves at the end of 2009 and the Eagles are aiming to return the favour.

Waerea-Hargreaves was a standout last season but has struggled to find rhythm as coach Brian Smith uses him off the bench. A return to the Sea Eagles for 2013 could see Waerea-Hargreaves re-emerge as one of the most damaging forwards in the NRL.
I wish I was at this meeting between Hasler, Peters and the Telucrap journos to find out all of the other secret hatched out plans Manly have. I can just picture them at one of the cafes on The Corso looking around to see if anyone else was listening in

Absolutely agree with you Muz and obviously with G-Unit.
Guerra is a class player who MUST be kept at all costs.
