Wasn't good enough? That just about sums it up.

Any news on how Pappy is now?

He was such a gifted rugby player. He could have been anything in league if his body was not so brittle.

I LOL'ed. Now if only I could get the image that conjured out of my head. Eeek !!

All the best for a speedy recovery to Pappy.

An amazing player, plagued by bad luck. I played cricket against him a few years after he retired from footy. He was a decent bat, playing A grade Shires at the time. He kept wicket when we batted, and, naturally, badly dislocated his finger and had to leave the field. Poor guy just could not take a trick.

Wishing Brett a speedy recovery. The Chooks didn't get a chance to experience what the bloke had to offer, due to injury, which was a shame. But the talent was certainly there.

Like Clarke, could have been a great player.
I hope he gets well soon.

What about Shane he cracks me up.
There having a harbour cruise on the Friday night before the GF. Im not going but I reckon it would be good especially if the Roosters are in it.

Same. Never forget it. The guy was a freak. Just a shame that series of injuries stopped us from seeing more.....

Pappy was unlucky in his Career like Anthony Cherrigton(3 ACL's) - injuries cruelled them both

Met Moges on fan day in 2012 a really nice Kid- had same bad luck with ACL's(2 at the Roosters and one at the Cows) - how Toops got his start in NRL with the Roosters- Moga did his ACL first day of pre-season training November 2012 (for 2013 season)- Toops was elevated into the 25 as a result of his Newtown form when Newtown(Roosters) reserve grade team won the NSW Cup in 2012.- Parra said Toops was too tall and cut him from their club at the end of 2011(playing under 20's)- signed a base grade contract with Newtown for 2012 NSW Cup - good old Parra - same as Ryan Matterson -Parra told him he was not NRL standard- Sterlo was livid they let him go

I would love to have him & Latrell in the centres. Will get even better IMO.
