  • The biggest challenge in Ben Cummins' career

Benny boy will have to put in his best performance ever to get the Titans over the line on Saturday. It's hard to imagine how he could justifiably give this team of park footballers a huge penalty count against a team running second. That would be too obvious. The only way he could make a game of it would be to let them get away with murder in the rucks and to stand 9.5m offside. Or maybe send off a Rooster just after the kick off.

I don't think he can do it, but there will be plenty of people cheering him on.

Geez, how far has Benny boy fallen when he gets a Sat arvo at 3pm game, instead of prime time. No doubt it is yet another stitch up from Archer, who is still recovering from the shock of Chechin giving us a last minute penalty last week, and knows Cummins won't be as accommodating.

Even Bunny Benny cannot control Titans' dropped balls and Hayne's I don't give a shyte and I'll prove it attitude.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Interesting yet predictable match official selections, it's like as though the appointments are under the old pals act for Cummins by having Klein the Klown and Patten in the bunker.

Expect a record penalty count in a desperate hopeless bid from the Cummeister.

With the Titans seen as being next to no chance, we will win the penalty count, allowing Cummins to show what a fair referee he is.

Better to have him now than on GF day when we get there.

I actually predict we will win the penalty count. You heard it here first.

As I suggested in my post, it's hard to imagine a plausible reason why the Roosters would be less "disciplined" than the random bunch of nobodies recruited from the streets of Robina. You would think the latter would have all the reasons to give away 30 or 40 penalties. So you're probably right - the Roosters will win the count, maybe 8-7.

It is interesting that he has us - shows that he has slipped down the pecking order... Checchin has the most crucial game - Manly v Riff. Apart from the Tigers v Warriors & Eels v Souffs, every game has some bearing on the 8.

I'm over worrying about the guys with the whistles. I'm more worried about which Pearce will turn up or whether Latrell will have one of his 'woe is me' days

I've been told it was the pocket ref that gave that last penalty.

                          Original post called it.

We haven't been good today but Ben Cummins is a grub.

Credit where credit is due. He tried his best to get the NRL their Suncorp final. He did exactly what the NRL wanted him to do but sadly for the useless housebrick, we were just that bit better.
