Not saying that but to give him credit that he won us the game...please! He gives 100% ok but attacking wise, very ordinary.

Somebody had to step up and get us that game, like it or not, it was Pearce who delivered the winning play.

Pretty sure if we lost that game, Pearce would of been the main guy to blame, so a bit of recognition for him winning the game should be appreciated also.

There would be 3 pages of "Pearce is shit" threads already

Yeah the pass was held up enough to draw the defence...so it was good and yes if we lost there would have been a few threads. Like we have always argued around here, Pearce is in that position that he has to organise the team. It's what Johns was going on during SOO about grabbing it and making it is own but if that last play you consider it as without him we wouldn't of won, well that's not mine. He needs to make more decisions that are effective like other good halves.

He needs to control the game more for mine, there are so many brain numbing useless kicks, like the one on halftime, that make no sense. Seems like kicking the ball into touch and setting your line is a thing of the past. So many opportunities to run the ball, but instead a half assed kick with no pressure is the go to play. I'm sure all those kicks are coached, because if they are not, then I don't think we would see them on every 5th tackle play.

Correct!!!!! That's what we want, better decisions. The end of the 1st half where he could of either kick for touch or just taken the tackle, he decides to to kick it to the other goal for no one. I think he thought of catching them out of position but the execution was very bad that even the commentators didn't know why he did that.

I'll never question his dedication and effort but decisions and execution are often out of sync.

Flash's goalkicking has definitely won us quite a few of those close games this season. Compared to last year when goal kicking was an issue which lost us a couple of close ones

In 1987 we won 8 games by six points or less and had a draw also.

We finished second in the minor premiership that year too.

                  • Hmmmm its hard to know what to make of it all, i think winning has glossed over a few problems we have , were not blowing teams away, im starting to wonder does guerra add thst much defensive starch?

He assists in the match winning try and it's still not good enough. But rest assured if he didn't he would cop it even more.

Careful. People are getting banned for saying things like that at the moment.

agreed. I reckon they only did what was necessary. Nothing more. That first 10 mins or so looked like they were going to play it as defensive practice.
