  • finals week 1

has there been any speculation on the finals timeslots, I'm assuming that Channel 9 will want the Broncos on Friday night, so that should lock our game into the Friday timeslot.

99% will be Friday because Swans are on the next day.

God if we could just bring our composure and execution to the semis it would be great. Apart from penalties, I think we may be passing a bit too much. I don't think I've screamed the word paitence so much in my life.

It will either be Friday or Saturday. I think Friday as the Storm play later tonight & channel 9 love the Broncos on Friday.

If we play with the same composure and execution as we did today well be fine.

Friday Night will be Roosters vs Bronco's - Manly are giving it to Penrith currently - 28 to 0 after 64 Minutes - a real bogey side of ours is Manly- Penrith were plus 61 /Cows plus 24(having played ) and Manly plus 24- all on 30 - Dragon on 28 plus 89 with a game in hand vs Dogs- a real dog fight for 6/7/8 - Sharks should beat the Knights currently on 32 plus 61. - Manly will be 6th one would say unless their is some Panther miracle revival - Sharks 5th - with Penrith/Cows/Dragons to fight out 7 and 8th

A story about a possible rift at the Panthers doing the rounds - apparently Moylan wants a release and not happy campers(players) with the coach

kind of hope we don't run into Manly again in the finals, when they are on, they have the pace/power that we would have trouble matching, as we have already found out a couple of times this year.

Whatever the NRL decides in terms of next week i just hope that we don't end up with that muppet Cummins and his touchie mate wearing that stupid cap today.
So many of their decisions this afro were disgraceful.

                      Manly won 28-12 meaning they will finish 6th on 32 - Penrith either 7th or 8th finish on 30 / Cows either 8th or 9th finish on 30 /Dragons either 7th or 9th -win they finish 7th on 30 and lose 9th on 28

                      So week 1
                      Friday
                      2-Roosters vs 3-Brisbane

                      Saturday

                      1st game ??
                      2nd game ??

                      Sunday
                      Only game ?

1-Storm vs 4-Parra - I think will be either the 2nd Saturday game(7:30pm) or the Sunday day game

Other games(5 vs 8 and 6 vs 7) to be decided- depending on Dragons result - Dragons win they finish 7th lose 9th -If Dragons win Penrith finish 8th - If Dragons Lose Penrith finish 7th - If Dragons win Cows finish 9th - If Dragons lose Cows finish 8th

5 vs 8 - either 5-Sharks vs Panthers or Cows
                      6 v 7 - either 6-Manly vs Penrith or Dragons

I think if there is going to be an upset in week 1 it will be Parra beating the Storm.

                          Prefer them to Sharks.

Apparently theres is no AFL in Melbourne next Saturday night. So I understand that to maximize the crowd the NRL want the Cheats playing their game during the 7:30pm Saturday timeslot
