I pretty much always thought they were going to win, regardless. With the exception of being ten points behind, the game actually panned out exactly the way I thought it would. And it should've come as no surprise given how many games have played like that this year and who the ref was - he was true to form, though was thankful at least for that last penalty. The ridiculous betting odds also seemed to be setting them up for failure.

Would've been really good to have a good, easy win....the SFS crowd deserved it, having had to endure a lot of frustrating, heart-stopping games this year. Better than losing, though. They are playing well, but still doing stupid things after good breaks have been made. Even Maubs who IMO should've been on the Origin bench the last two years, has been taking the wrong options lately. They can actually win this comp if they sharpen up their finishing.

Since his debut in 2007 I can't recall Maubs deciding to pass instead of going himself.

He has decided to pass in the last two games and stuffed up both times.

I remember when i met maubs for the first time i jokingly asked him why he didnt pass to joel monaghan in that extra time vs the tigers (cant remember the year).

He scored to win and just needs to back himself next time.
