well the official Roosters website just cursed our finals campaign with their latest injury update.
With just three sleeps to go until our first match of the 2017 NRL Finals Series, the Sydney Roosters have received some good news from the Medical Staff ahead of our clash with the Brisbane Broncos at Allianz Stadium.
All 17 members of the first grade squad that took to the field against the Gold Coast Titans last Saturday afternoon escaped with plenty of bumps and bruises, but are all fit to take to the field on Friday night.
Dylan Napa and Aidan Guerra were both rested in Round 26 and will be available for selection in today's Team Announcement.
After sustaining a right groin tear in Round 22 against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, Daniel Tupou is on track to make his long-awaited return on Friday night.
For the first time in 2017, all members of the first grade squad are clear of any serious injury.

If that's what they end up doing we need to bomb him all night with Fergo and Toups flying through. Let's see if Archer's men are consistent with their recent edict of penalising deliberate blokers.
Just cut the BS and make sure you're there on Friday night so I can laugh at your ugly face after the game. Bring your bum buddy Darius too... I love seeing him play FB because he's the most over-rated FB in the game!!!

The Roosters at home who are at full strength against a weaken Broncos who are playing away.

Of course. Handicaps can be overcome. But there is no question that Cummins is a handicap for us. (Oh, and Cummins was the pocket referee in the 2013 GF)

We were an amazing team in 2013. Overcame a massive negative penalty differential for the season to win the comp. Did it the hard way, which makes it sweeter I suppose.

Broncos unpredictability is a worry versus our predictability, but they do tend to switch off or struggle to find a rhythm if they're thrown off early, so we just need to do what we do - knowing we can prevail in tight games under the pump - as long as nobody starts to panic or brain snap. Basic stuff, but Robbo talking about our clear-thinkers and them not doing it, in Saturday's post match, makes it very significant in my opinion.

Shutting down Milford is the key. Give him no time or space but at the same time no-one must rush up out of the line at him.
I'm hoping the Broncos will be vulnerable defensively. Run at their little men and Marshall. With Boyd out they might be a bit directionless at the back. As much as i despise Boyd he does a lot of organising from the back.
Lastly, we need to be patient in attack and maybe try and mix things up a bit when attacking their line. I think we become too predictable when just hoisting the ball in the air, although if Nikorima is full back it might be worthwhile bombing more to the centre of the field than to the wings. Also if Mead plays we invariably gift him a try - they need to keep a close eye on him.

The broncos are very beatable, as are most every team in the comp besides the storm - including us.
I see us beating the broncs, and tbh would bet on us against whoever we end up facing in the prelim too.
its the GF against the storm and Cooper Cronk's fairytale that is the worry

I'm very proud of the boys but I don't believe our form is good enough to go any further. Also, the refs are always looking to deny our tries, penalise us and sin bin our players. We can't beat both Brisbane and the refs and bunker.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)
