  • Willie Tonga released

Will be interesting to see if the Roosters pick him up.

If Steve Noyce keeps to his youth policy this won't happen.

    Let's hope Noyce isn't a hypocrite!

I wouldn't mind some more experience in the backs. Would be an OK signing.

He' was coming to the roosters yesterday until o'sullivan said we aren't in the market for that calibre of player so now the eels look like picking him up, unless it was a little lie by o'sullivan...
I wouldn't mind seeing tonga at the roosters if he was wasn't overly dear

If he comes, I doubt we would keep Linnett.

I'd much rather we keep Kane and develop him further. Not only does he have the makings of an outstanding player, we will also be able to claim him as someone who we developed ourselves. That is why I don't want to see us let guys like Perrett, SKD, Pearce, Kennedy, Masoe, Friend, Cherrington, Nuuausala, Symonds, Aubusson, Cordner and others go. We made these kids - Perrett, SKD, Nuuausala are NZ internationals, Friend and Kennedy have been mentioned as definite QLD prospects, Pearce is the NSW halfback, Symonds is a City Origin representative, and Aubusson has representative qualities all over him too.

Totally agree, 100%.The results this year are no reflection on the talent we have on our books, which leads me to the coaching staff whenever I try to find answers for this season.

He is still a class player but perhaps we should be grooming BJ for the left centre position.

Id like to see that experiment for at least a full season.

Willie Tonga is a bi product of Willie Mason

The dogs let him go for a Reason, like his partner in crime JT

No thanks to Willie Tonga and if the Roosters let Kane Linnett go then it proves to me the people behind such a move are clueless and/or have an agenda.

                              Agreed.
Tonga may have talent but he could be a disruption just when we have settled a few problems.
