  • Parramatta will beat the Storm

it may be the 2000 year old honey wine in fermented vats I am sucking on, but I think they will be out in 2, they of course are the benchmark and this comp is theirs tose, we have been pretty ordinary since that Storm loss and still finished second, I wrote us off but have a new found confidence that we will go all the way. I see a smugness about the Storm that I like, they will go out in straight sets and throw this thing wide open

Wow. Big call that. I'd have a nice wager with you that it would never happen. I reckon there might be a few more on here that would as well.

I would love for Parramatta to beat the Storm but I can't see it happening. I was hoping they would come up agaist the Broncos so one of them could at least be sent to an elimination final but it wasn't to be.

I also hope we can say goodbye to both Manly and the Sharks next week.

I think you might be close to the mark The Thracian.

I reckon the Storm will put in a dusty one within the next 2 games...could be this week or prelim final.

They have had a long tough run its very hard to maintain.

I'm ecstatic that the Storm are entering the finals on a long winning run - 8 I believe. It just means that they're due for a loss like we were in 2014 and 2015.

I am a firm believer in that.

If we meet them in sudden death and stick close then look for someone like maybe their enigmatic rookie wingers to implode. Or even Slater like he did in the WC final.

It's probably me hoping but this post could get quite close to the mark.

I.actually hope the Storm wins. As if they lose and win week 2 which they will line up against us if we beat the Gronks eeeek. Week two they still will be at home , I honestly think Sharks or Cowboys in current form would have buckleys beating them Melbourne then we would have to overcome them to make the GF. I rather play Sharks or Eels. I think we have overcome the Shark hoodoo. They arent playing well and look tired imo.

If the Storm lose it will be the PF or GF. I suspect they will win the PF as the Groncos (assuming we win on Friday) are the Storm's bitches and maybe we can do what Cronulla did to them. Yes Parra is a threat but if they lose that I cannot see the Sharks or Cowboys troubling them at home.

I never thought about that. Good point Tommy.

As much as I'd like to see the Storm lose v Parra, what it does is that it throws them into our side of the draw for a possible semi final clash. I much rather see them slip up against us, whenever that is.

Thats right. If we win on Friday we want the Storm to win on Saturday. Not lose and come over to our side of the draw and have to play them in the prelim. We want them to stay over their side of the draw and play them in the GF, or ideally not at all if someone can knock them over in the prelim.

The Storm won't find it easy from here though, the problem for them is every game for them now is basically the opposition's grand final. It's a tough road as we found out on 14/15. I do fancy someone can beat them at some stage.

the grubby Eel wrestlers that turned up against the Broncos, and niggled the shyte out of them, will be good to watch. But I'd also rather we steer clear of Storm until a GF if anything, otherwise like 2014 the GF might be played one game early.

Tend to agree with Thirteen, Penrith were pencilled in for the GF until they played someone half decent. We'll soon find out what sort of Finals prep the knights souths raiders and umpteen players all coming off breaks are, ahead of another potential break for Storm next week, along with Cronk going, Cam Smith juggling all that refereeing, Poor Billy thinking to retire. Will they combust or carry on being super human.

I hope not. I want them in the big show not the week before.

They've had a poor prep for finals with two thrashings in the last 2 weeks. That's not what you want heading into finals.
