Also could you imagine him taking orders from Crowe and co.
Remember he had to deal with Ron Jones.

Big Jack always demanded to be paid $1 more dollar than the highest paid player - Wasn't many players who didn't get along with Big Jack and Sterlo considered Big Jack his second Father - Bob McCarthy was the only one I can recall who didn't when Big Jack was coaching Souffs Vermin(1978/79) -McCarthy came back to Souffs in 1978 from a two stint with the Dogs(1976/77) - McCarthy even trialled with the Roosters in 1979 pre-season cup when not offered another year at Souffs in 1979 - Conjecture about this still exists - McCarthy says he retired but I remember reading that the Roosters told him he would not be signed-so he basically was forced to retire as no other team wanted to sign him. Bob Fulton was captain/coach of the Roosters then in 1979.

Ronny Jones got the club out of near bankruptcy and built the club as we know it today - no Ronny Jones no Roosters - pay respect to the great man

Uncle Nick came into the picture in 1976 with a 3 year deal ($150k)- City Ford to sponsor the Roosters

I did say the modern day player where a group of players ousts the coach ala Gold Coast. Jack was the boss in his day and had no problems relegating a player to Reggies if he wished it. Today is all about ego management ala Hayne ect.

JT - Ronny Jones he saved the club and all should celebrate this great man - again no Ronny Jones no Roosters and you cannot ever deny this fact EVER - you like to use John Tobin as your namesake - that John Tobin dude was a criminal who already spent time in jail and will have a longer stint this time as well - cocaine trafficking again - involved with the Titan players being caught for cocaine as well - ripped me off too from his newsagency as well as you know - Your JT dude was a crook - Ronny Jones was Roosters through and through and saved this great club - never should anyone forget him

                Plenty.
Souths are disliked on here but out in the big wide world it would be considered a privilege to coach them.
