The result is not fair, This was not a dangerous tackle and any contact to the head was the fault of the ball runner not the tackler.
    The game has gone soft

But I am glad its only 1 week not more

I agree KB. Tets smashes Titans player in what should be the shot of the year... Penalty Broncos!

Oh oops, just getting in early!

Let's hope so , unfortunately he maybe a bit shy of tackling at all because of the impending scrutiny

That's right. If you needed one example to show how far off track this game has got - there it is, right there.

It's a bloody joke. I guess I'll always watch this game, because it's part of my DNA, by now, and I can't seem to walk away from it. But decisions like this really test my resolve. And to think, Rothfield wanted him SENT OFF! For what?!

Should a player tackle with his arms outstretched? Maybe a new rule where the defender cannot bend his arms in any way to make a tackle? You could have different gradings for the angle at which the arm was bent when the tackle was enforced. A grade 1 34% arm bend. 2 weeks suspension. Bend the arm 45% and it's a grade 3. Six weeks out.

              You know it makes sense.

No we won't win the comp. Melbourne are too good.
                I hope to be wrong.

Tet wasn't named in the top 17 anyway this week...a moot point?

Tet has been named 18th man a few times but has always played.

There's no doubt that he's ahead of Evans and in the top 17 in Robbo's pecking order.

Yo I agree but Evans has been looking good recently you know what I'm sayin. He should provide adequate coverage for Tets yo.

I agree. He's been playing agro lately and can offload too.

The litmus test for me is how I would feel if the postions were reversed and it was the titans player that tackled Zane in the same way and with the same result. I thought it was a brute of a tackle due to the incoming speed but Zane's technique was very good with the proviso that he could have bent a bit lower and taken the point of his shoulder out of the equation.

I understand what you are saying but no amount of technique would save you if the attacker changes his stance. What if he lowers or straightens or steps into it?

Good point RT. The "what ifs" and subjectivity of interpretation are key here.
