  • We can beat the storm and anyone else if....

    1. In attack we are allowed to get quick play the balls. Rather than have to put up with teams like melb n the sharks being allowed to slow it down. Last night the main reason the boys dominated that 1st half was quick play the balls kept leading to Brisbane miss tackles.

    2. We sort our 5th tackle options out. Last night i felt that the roosters only converted about 40% of their last play options correctly. Rather than creating repeat set they gave away to many 7 tackle sets, which twice lead to points for the ponnies. We probably should have put 40 points on them. Melb and possibly the sharks wont let teams get away with it.

    3. The refs call it down the line every game. Gotta give "chicken legs" Cecchin credit last night. He had one of the better performances last night by a ref this season. Unlike that rubbish performance Cummins dished out last week in the game against the tits

    4. Just like 2013 the week off is gonna do us wonders.

I'm still unsure as to whether or not it is better for the roosters if the melb cheats lose tonight or not. The way I see it is that we have to beat them sometime this final series, would rather it be before the GF.

1: If Melbourne wants to slow things down, that's what they'll get. Pocket Referee Cameron Smith will make sure of it.
2: Agree - if a decent 5th tackle option is unavailable, it would be better to take the last tackle than to give them 7 from the 20m.
3: If we get Cummins again in 2017, forget about a premiership. If we get him and Cronulla in the GF Qualifier, don't even bother watching.
4: Absolutely. We look pretty healthy. (But did you notice the discomfort Pearce was in? He has some shoulder issue. Hopefully two weeks prep will him and Toops right.)

I'd rather play Melbourne in the GF. (Actually, I'd rather play the Titans, but that's not going to happen.)

I want Melbourne in the GF. If we beat them the week before I see a 2003 happening again.

If any team is going to win the comp you would want it to be against the Storm. You then know you beat the best.

Don't care if or when we play Melbourne. Anyone can beat anyone on a given day.
It'd be nice if they went out in straight sets, but we'd still have to play well to beat their conquerors.
