1972 Grand Final Video Copy

After a mention of the ' 72 against Manly in another thread, I am now on the hunt for a copy.

It seems there is no way to purchase this game legally. There are hightlights packages on Youtube, but not much more.

I have spoken to the Roosters store, and they are not aware of any way to obtain one.

Any suggestions?

Good idea, I'll give em a bell tomorrow. I suspect I will get pointed back at Myreplay. $33 for a game we lost is a a bit rich. I might stump for the 70's collection anyway. I'd like to see the 77 GF and replay. again anyway. I remember that being a brutal physical and mental contest.

i suspect that some manly fans would have it on DVD. maybe make an account on their forum (hide the fact youre a rooster) and ask nicely and one of them may send you a copy.

I think I would smash my tv if I had to watch that game, my memories may be a bit dusty but we got well and truly ripped off in that match although bad play from us cost us big time in the first half, Mark Harris threw a terrible pass to John Armstrong with the line wide open then later Armstrong crossed in the corner but was penalised for a double movement. The 2nd half we were well and truly stitched up, Fred Jones crossed right next to the post but bounced the ball but Keith Page awarded the try despite Johnny Ballesty blowing up about it, then Graham Eadie throws a forward pass to Bill Hamilton who then gives the ball to Ray Branigan for Manlys match winning try. Neither of Manly's tries should have been allowed and to add insult to injury Ron Coote was ruled to have bounced the ball over the line not long after the Fred Jones so called try was allowed, Coote's try was probably more of a try than the one Keith Page awarded to Fred Jones. Uggghh, I can feel my blood pressure going up as I type this.

I think the guy you are talking is called Kennychiello on youtube, cant remember his username on the Wall but I think it was the same guy, I will check because I did have his contact details somewhere from years ago, probably filed away in one of many boxes in the spare room.

Thanks horrie. I was thinking recently on how he used to do vids a few times a month or so. Being that I was a digital editor at the time I found it interesting.
