I've avoided the papers and Fox sports all week. Hype merchants, in the business of ruining people's sanity and reputations. They must just watch highlights!

Just prior to last night's game Gasnier on fox was all Cleary this and that The Second Coming.... which meant he was about to do nothing. That game was painful and laughable to watch. He couldn't make it happen with all that ball, despite playing against a patchwork side,
desperately relying on that short ball to hairawea-narea or whatever. So many passes went nowhere yet he's meant to be better than hunt, cherry, pearce, cronk, equal to Thurston. Ridiculous. Bye bye.

In all my 40 odd years of watching the Roosters, I can't remember another year where we had such a Jekyll and Hyde nature. Sure, we've had plenty of teams that were on one week and off the next, and then on again, off again -- but that's on a weekly basis. This team goes in and out of games like I've never seen before. Definitely the craziest Roosters team I have ever seen.

And that's why I think we can win this thing. I haven't rated our chances all year, but like Johnny Tobin, I am starting to believe.

And the reason I think we can win goes back to the crazy factor. I don't think a grafting, grinding team or game plan, such as what Cronulla employed last year, will be enough this year. Melbourne are going to score 16-20 points minimum. They're a better attacking team this year. But I think we have just the right amount of crazy to upset their rhythm, and if they score 20, I'm confident we can score 21.

Parra fans, Bullscum fans, Manly Shitgulls fans, Warriors fans? All teams that have been done for being over the cap?

Shark fans, Canberra fans? Teams that have had players done for performances enhancement drugs?

Melbourne fans, Brisbane fans, Vermin fans? Teams that always receive an unconscious bias from the refs?

I'm over fans of other clubs accusing us of cheating when we haven't nor has anything been proven.

For years the club has been accused of being over the cap but nothing has been proven. If we are so called cheats why hasn't the truth come out as yet? I think it's just their way of other teams justifying their jealousy of us.

There wasn't even a salary cap in 1984. Why would he be paid under the table?
