I hope, and it can be no more than hope, that coach Robinson knocks any complacency out of the Roosters players that take the field next Saturday night against the cows.

So we know what to expect and we know we have to be disciplined to win.

Really think a lot of footy fans are really underestimating us at the moment. We are a level above both the teams they've played and we have a lot more attacking flair than both those squads.
Be sure, cows will be getting a good run in the penalty count..

Main concerns are
1. Cows compete for a full 80 mins where we haven't put in a full 80 - yet !
2. Cows get repeat sets with great short kicks and put heaps of pressure around the prospective receivers , we have a lot of work to do here
3.Cows play with discipline and give away few penalties, we could learn from that
4. Apart from the guns everyone else does their job without fan fare , hanging tough for each other.
5. The Cows appear battle hardened and their Defense is solid and they work for each other
6. The Cowboys have had a feast of seafood ( Eels and Sharks ) let's hope they don't change their diet to Chicken
on the positive side WE
1. Won't take them for granted
2. Will put more pressure on their play makers , Parra gave the play makers too much time and space
3. Know the Cows put everything and everyone into the kick chase ( Eels scored 2 because of this )
4. Have the forwards to holt the power runs and off loads
5. Won't be carrying any injured players - Cows will be sore are wounded
6. Can match their Defense if the "Wall " gets reinvented and we hit and stick with intent.

Cows give you nothing. No penalties. No dropped ball. We gotta be disciplined and can't read too many papers during the week.
And I hope Hess's knee blows up like a balloon. And Taumalolo eats some dodgy vindaloo Friday night.Last edited by John Corey; 09-17-2017, 12:56 PM.Embrace the Hate! JC

We have a good record against the Cowboys. We gave them a thumping with Thurston and Taumalolo in 2016 with a young side. We just got home 22-16 in the end minus our captains Jake Friend and Boyd Cordner, along with Michael Gordon out, last time around. Latrell again scored a great individual try, we managed to keep Taulamolo under control and limited Morgan, although he still played well.
SST played mighty and Hess's try was short of the line. So probably should have won more comfortably. As long as we keep the dumb plays to a minimum, play it through the middle first and our backline stars stand up and we finish our breaks off, we will take this. The Cowboys will have to eventually crack but gosh they're binding well as a team. But we have a great pack full of rep players and as long as they forget about the scrap book (as Gibbo would say) we can advance to the grand final.
