Clubs have no obligation to state the true injury of a player. We don't actually know what the original injury was.

a torn ACL is an 8-9 month recovery. He won't play, he's not even close.

I'm not so sure it's mind games. I don't think Robbo will lose sleep over this.

Even if he HAD recovered, it's an ACL we are talking about.

His first game back will be off the bench and tentative. He'd be a liability either way.

He is 7 months into his rehab. There are examples of players who have returned after 7 months. Josh Mansour made a return this year after 7 months so it's definitely possible. It is extremely early though.

8-9 months is more typical for ACL's

It shouldn't trouble us whether he plays or not. He's been out so long there's no way he'll be up to speed.
